Fantastic Clean scent ! I love this cologne
The best way I would describe Gendarme is super clean and soapy. This is my #1 go to for fresh scents. My other clean fragrances that I use are Aqua di Parma colonia edc, more citrusy, Tom Ford neroli portifino, Aqua di Gio and Davidoff Coolwater. Gendarme lasts on my skin 8hrs and 10 to 12 on clothing. It is not overpowering but more moderate. It’s very hard to find in local retailers for some reason. I can tell you that the bottle I received from this Amazon seller is 100% authentic. No doubt in my mind ! The pricing online is the exact same everywhere $120 4oz and $85 2oz. What Happened To This Product??
I received my latest order of this cologne that I've been using for decades. I don't know if the formula was changed, or if the product has aged, but after trying it twice, its aroma is awful. I always liked Gendarme for its scent that was pleasant but not overbearing. This latest purchase was neither. Of course, after reading the return policy, I find that it is not returnable, so I am out the purchase price plus the shipping charges. I am not angry, but very, very disappointed with this purchase. If the seller or manufacturer can tell me what could be wrong, please do. Read more

FRESH & CLEAN
This fragrance is NOT like those embarrassing musky, heavy colognes of the 90's or the stinky AXE-like scents the Gen-Z's spray all over themselves. Wearing heavy colognes like that is embarrassing. EVERYONE smells you coming a mile away. It's like you're trying too hard. Gendarme is completely different. It's fresh, light and clean smelling. Not even like a cologne. It's totally different. My girlfriend says it's like freshly washed sheets with a summer vibe. People won't think your wearing a cologne, they'll just think you smell good and clean.
