The microwave is like the ones used in cafeterias. Before this microwave I had two GE microwaves that lasted two years each. An electrician told me that microwaves with dials last longer than digital microwaves. The stainless steel interior is easy to keep clean. I rarely used the features found on most residential microwaves made today. Basically I just like to be able to quickly heat foods. The microwave is sturdy but not too heavy to move to clean underneath. The handle and the door are constructed well so that the door has a good seal and it would require a great deal of abuse before any of the exterior parts will break. Read more
The Good: 1) It only takes one action to start it - turn the knob. No buttons to choose or other decisions to make. I like the simplicity! 2) Well built to last. The Less than Good: 1) It would be nice if it had a slider for power level - so you could reduce the power. 2) The knob feels wobbly - annoying but not a problem functionally. 3) Beeps for the first 2 - 15 second knob clicks, but then it is quiet for the remainder so you can't count beeps to know how many intervals you have selected, but must count little red lights around the knob that light up as you turn it. A number of seconds displayed on a little screen would be much more convenient. Generally a high quality unit with almost no features - one knob, I like simplicity! Read more
The product itself is excellent. Pro grade nuker, that maintains flavor and moisture of food, unlike consumer grade that tends to dry and leave food bland. Negative: After trying to register the product online the website was no longer active. Then I tried registering the product (warranty purposes) via the enclosed warranty card. The card was returned by the post office as an undeliverable address. Things that make you go hmmmmm....... Here's hoping the nuker is also pro grade in regards to life. Buyer beware. Read more

The General Foodservice commercial microwave is a solid addition to my kitchen for quick meals. However, the timer function doesn’t always work consistently, and sometimes I have to adjust it manually. It’s still a reliable microwave that gets the job done most of the time. Read more

Typically I’m drawn to microwaves that are digital with many options and presets. Given the simplicity of this model, especially with an analog dial, this is a new experience. I’m very impressed. The first time I used it I reheated leftover soup and the manual recommended 1-2 minutes. I heated it for one minute and it turned out perfectly. Usually when I use any other microwave, it usually over or underheats. Not this one, the temperature turned out perfectly - it was warm, but not overly so, and I was able to eat the soup right out of the microwave without any cooling time. The other times I’ve used it was to heat water for an energy drink and reheating the drink on a couple of occasions. In these instances one of the things I’m increasingly appreciating about this microwave is the simplicity inherent to the device itself. Put the item in the microwave, twist the dial to the desired time setting, and that’s all there is to it. In fact, the microwave begins heating once the dial begins turning. No thought required. Since then I’ve used it daily and I’m continually impressed. One of the interesting aspects of this microwave is it doesn’t have a turntable, you just place the item(s) on the flat surface within the microwave. I’m unsure, but this may result in faster and more thorough cooking, at least that is my perception. It does allow for easier cleanup. This is a device with inherent simplicity and durability. The tradeoff is that this microwave, and specifically the analog dial model, have no bells and whistles, not even a clock. Surprisingly I don’t miss these features, as I’m discovering that the benefit of simplicity far outweighs added capability. This microwave does one thing and does it very well. Highly recommended. The media could not be loaded. My wife works in a medical campus, who discourages cooking appliances in offices, even though the break room is located at the far end of the facility and many providers having little time between patients. She wanted a microwave to put inside a cabinet, out of view, under her desk. She knew her coworkers in the same "pod" would also use the microwave being close and convenient, so finding something durable was important. With no need for all of the high-end features and tech many offer, she looked to a more "commercial" design. This microwave was perfect. Being kept in a low cabinet, the simple dial operation made it much easier to use as opposed to a more complex keypad. Turningnthe dial clockwise illuminates LED's in sequence indicating cooking time selected. While cooking, they turn off in the sequence to show time remaining. It's a compact unit, making it a great option for smaller spaces, but has ample room to heat most things, and being a commercial unit, it is made to handle frequent use.
