True to size, I would even say order a size up. This is adorable. My husband commented that our son has better clothes and style than him! I laughed because gerber isn’t usually what you think of when it comes to style and quality but they have upped their game. This is really good waffle knit fabric. Not to heavy but a little weight to it. The stitching is good. The Henley style and the little buttons are a nice touch. My son can be picky about what he wears and he always wants to put this outfit on when he sees it hanging in the closet. I will be ordering the other colors in a size up. He just turned 4 in sept, he is average height, is 42 lbs and I ordered the 4t and it fits perfectly but will order one size up for a baggier fit next time. If you child is skinny or shorter normal sizing is fine. Washes well, even going through the dryer there was very minimal shrinkage if any. I was gifted this outfit when my child was in 24mo clothing and I just had to purchase another when he outgrew it!! I do feel like it runs a little big though. It seems to be very comfortable for our child. Plenty of slack to run and play in (unlike jeans, etc). Very cute too. Love that it is stylish with the same comfort as sweatpants/pjs. Read more

Going into spring I wanted to buy my toddler something warm enough to play outside but light and breathable enough so he wouldn't overheat. This is a great product.. really happy with my purchase... the colors are beautiful... the material is quality ... it seems thinner prewash but once washed and dried it did its thing and thickened up.
