This unit feels incredibly good, it has lots of power (1000 watt oscillation motor and 500 watt vibration motor). The combination is very effective and the results are noticeable. The remote control works great, and the 1 to 60 scale of adjustment for both motions gives you a good variety of modes. After its first use, it released some strong, rubbery smell that made me worried but it quickly vanished after more use. Part of break-in, I guess. I recently purchased this GForce Dual Motor vibration plate. When it arrived, I was at first very excited but when I unpacked it and plugged it in, the digital display was messed up, not showing up completely. Looking at other reviews I saw this had happened to another person and I was disappointed that I would have to send it back. When I went to return it, I saw that this item was now out of stock. The unit comes with a remote and my wife and I had begun to use it in manual mode with the remote. We have family members that have something similar and we were happy with how the unit worked, just not with the display not working. We decided that we did not want to send it back until the supplier had more in stock. The supplier sent us and email checking on the product and I replied back and told them the issue. They confirmed that they were out of stock and did not know when more of this model would be coming in. I told them we liked the unit and could use it with the remote for now and did not want to return it until we had a replacement. Long story, short, I went back and forth with them and in the end, they asked if I would consider taking a monetary refund to keep the unit with the messed up display. I suggested a price I would accept with the rest of the unit staying under warranty and a price I would accept if I had to forfeit the warranty on the whole unit. They accepted my first offer, stating that the warranty would remain for all but the display and refunded the amount through my Amazon account. I thought this was a good compromise and I am happy with the solution and with their flexibility. I would have given 5 stars but after all, I did get a partially defective unit. Well in lieu of spending upwards of $10K on a Powerplate, this thing is awesome! Incredibly sturdy, well made, plug and play right out of the box, no complaints. There were other comments about a strong smell, and there was a rubber smell but it went away in about 48 hours and was really not that bad to begin with Read more
It was delivered broken makes a very loud noise like the motor is rubbing on something inside..If it wasn't so loud I think I would love it. Very disappointed. And the hassle of repacking it and getting it out of here. UGH!!!! Read more
I have only had this a month, so I can't expect earth shattering changes in that amount of time. I will update my review as time goes on. The down side, well the most obvious is the smell from the glue they use to hold the mat down. It is the most god awful head achy nauseating smell ever. I have kept it in my garage since I bought it. It still smells to bad too bring in the house. Second, the clips the hold the arm band to the unit have both broke. Since I bought this , I take daily pictures of my self to see if there is a change. I am noticing a slight amount in my arms. How ever ,my thighs and hips are getting larger. I watch my diet, calories and go to the gym. My thighs feel more firm, but just look larger in the pics. I have purchased a book on how to use this correctly. The big thing that keeps me going is a weird health issue, that couldn't be medically diagnosed. After using this for two weeks I started feeling better. Now the symptoms I had for months are gone. Could be placebo, but I hope to never feel that awful again. So, I am hoping to continue to feel better and see if it firms my skin better, it has done nothing for my moderate cellulite. But if it keeps weird, bedridden medical problems at bay, I am all in. Month two , The good, well I can see a diffeence in my muscle tone , some of the puffyness has gone away. The smell from the rubber has finally gone away, this stunk so bad I had to keep it in my garage, the smell was making me sick. The black rubber color has come off on my feet , and I need to wash it off after use. But my wierd medical problem had been all but forgotten about , untill I went on vacation for a week, and it came back in spades. It took a week but I feel like my self again. Now for the bad news, the digital display is going intermittent , it is getting hard to read. I hope I have a warranty and it doesn't cost much to send back. We will see. Ugg. Read more
