A stunning movie of being so worried about the lack of evidence of your reality you tell everyone about it- no that’s the bad one forgive me I happened to overload myself of “Ghost in the Shell.” I had already watched the movie and the sequel years before and decided to come back as part of my Mamoru Oshii Marathon. slow as a marathon can be I ended up reading the manga and postponing rewatching the movie, I rewatched the sequel after this and watched the 2.0 version (dubbed). Then I watched the live action remake, I think that movie was good, I allowed me to see what a movie that was a third of this movie lopped off and embalmed with Hollywood nonsense would be like. I decided to come full circle and buy this 4k Blu ray to really put a finish on my “Ghost in the Shell Experience.” As the for the quality of the product itself, it is nice to have, love to Oshii for directing this masterpiece. Wow, the 4K is amazing! Long time fans of this will absolutely love what they've done here. It looks and sounds amazing. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos! Unfortunately, there are bad actors giving this movie one star because of "censorship." I loathe censorship. I also have all editions of this movie, and certify it is 100% true to the original edition with zero censorship. The artwork on the physical case that houses the disc has been altered (censored) ever so slightly to cover a weapon and to remove nipples. If you buy movies to frame the cases as artwork, by all means you should be upset about this, and if you don't this is a non-factor, or at the most an extremely mild disappointment. Too many sweaty wannabe intellectuals attacking a great release over something that doesn't even impact the film. 10/10 for a great movie and great 4K! Read more

4K is great and all. Love the choice of spoken languages being available in Dolbyworld.But to be honest, I'm not sure that this was much of a visual upgrade to the blu ray versions I already own. Still looks great, and a worthy add, if you're a fan of the movie. Read more
