She loved it! I was skeptical of this product since I had bought one before and the other came with very little stuffing and with instructions to "pull the stuffing out, fluff it, and put it back in" but even after doing that it never worked. This bear needs 0 maintenance and is a perfect gift. I bought this to ask my girlfriend to prom, and she was surprised and loved how big the bear was. 100% recommend. Read more

It's always a gamble going with an unknown manufacturer, over a trusted brand. Sometimes you get something made to the same specifications as the big name, without having to pay the big name quality control and advertising costs. This is not that. If you're looking to replicate something you remember from your past as being squeezably resilient, super soft, and of durable construction, this probably isn't that either. I'm giving it two stars instead of one, because they technically didn't lie in the description, but the quality and durability of this product are both on the low side. 1.) Size: There seems to be a "size war" going on with many products, with manufacturers looking for ways to advertise larger sizes with less materials costs. People will click the 36" ad over the 30" ad, assuming that the 36" is proportionally larger; that they're getting "functionally more" product in the larger advertised piece. This 47" model measures 44" ear tip to toe tip, laying flat on its back. I wouldn't quibble over the 3", as it could probably be stretched that (and probably was for the ad measurement). I will quibble about it having 20" legs, and a 12" torso. Legs require less material than torso, so they have been stretched to give the overall product a larger total size, then photographed at oblique angles for the ads to disguise the proportions. The torso is the same size as many smaller models. When you give a kid a giant teddy, you don't see them hugging the legs... 2.) Quality: The ad claims "double stitched for durability", "cloud soft texture", and "no lumps/clumps resilient PP cotton fill". I cannot find evidence of double stitching, and in fact mine came with a 1-inch hole in the armpit seam that appeared to have never been stitched at all. The fur texture is closer to short shag carpet or bathroom rug than typical soft plush toy fur, and appears to be adhered to an extremely low thread count backing fabric. The cross-hatch on that looks slightly finer than a window screen, and casts serious doubt about its ability to hold thread at the seams. The filling is quite lumpy/clumpy, and the product tag has both interior and exterior listed as "Polyster", which is probably a bad translation of Polyester, which probably indicates the use of recycled PET batting rather than the higher quality PP cotton fill advertised. 3.) Packaging: The ad also goes out of its way to claim that "This bear ships in a sturdy gift box, so it’s barely compressed", "skip the messy vacuum bags (which ruin fur and take hours to reshape)". The product does indeed come in a box, but is compressed down into a vacuum bag(!) inside the box, that did indeed mash it down to ~15% of its volume and mat the fur/fill. Manual plumping and 10 minutes in the dryer on low heat did partially restore both, but it looks like significant manual removal/shredding/restuffing would be required to get a uniform fill. I'm not sure it's worth that effort for something that likely will not last. There is a zipper on the back that could be used for that process, which is both a benefit (used it as access to sew the defective seam), and a detriment (significant gap in the fur and scratchy zipper on the back). Overall - You get what you pay for on this one. It is certainly less expensive than many more recognizable brand options, but is also of significantly lower apparent quality than those more recognizable brand options. Probably OK if it was going to sit in a corner as a room decoration (though the weirdly long legs may disagree). Probably NOT OK to let a 5-year-old drag around by the arm. I'm going to take the loss and check the next one out in a store before buying as a gift. Read more
