This is a surprisingly high quality vest! Based on the pictures, I expected it to be a little "boxy", and would have to do some tailoring to get the slim fit that I like. Not necessary. Because it's a "stretchy" material, it forms very nicely to my torso. I'm 5'9" and 165 pounds slim and fit, and the medium fits perfectly! The material is light weight, but not flimsy. The front side pockets have a good depth, that you can get your hands into up to the wrist. Once the breast pocket is carefully cut open with an exacto knife, it's deep enough to fit a pack of cigarettes entirely. The buttons are an antique silver and metal (not plastic), and feel very solid. The color is exactly as shown in the product pictures ( I got the light tan khaki ), and the texture is a well executed faux suede, that feels and looks like real suede. This thing is smooth and comfortable and form fitting if you want it to be. The material is some kind of suede, it feels like leather but it is very soft. The materials relatively thick and feels very durable like it should last forever. I got mine in nice brown suede color and it looks like brown leather. As far as the cost point that they have, it seems like it's a pretty good deal for what you get. It feels like it's a quality item that should last a good long time. If there's anything that I found a little bit off putting it was that the snaps were exactly that, they were snaps not buttons. Sometimes with vests you need a button to keep it from popping open. I got a 2XL, I weigh 275 lb and stand 6 ft 2 in. It fit well. The only problem I really see in this thing is I'm not sure exactly where to wear it. It seems like something maybe you would wear to a cowboy function with a cowboy hat and a bolo tie. Or if you were playing dress up trying to be an old timey bartender in a saloon. I don't know if I'd be comfortable wearing this thing to church or just over top a dress shirt. I need to play around with it, and I'll figure out where I can wear it and not stand out like a sore thumb. But it's a good deal on a quality item. Read more
