I bought these in 2020. They are installed where they get full sun for about 10 hours per day. They light up at dusk, and stay on for at least 6 hours. The lights gradually grow dimmer in wee hours of the morning. In 2023, our home was hit by a tornado. It tore away our roof, sent our shed & gazebo to Oz, and slammed three full sized pine trees into our house & deck. Mud, branches, disaster everywhere. It happened in late afternoon. That evening - these deck lights came on, reliable as ever. So if you are concerned about durability, I can testify that these lights can withstand a tornado. I also leave them up all winter - and this is Chicago area. They withstand freezing temps and snow, too. Now year five, my original set has reached their end of life. They no longer fully charge, although a couple of them still come on dimly. Today I am ordering more, because 5 years of great performance in very harsh weather conditions proves that this is an outstanding product. And for $30 bucks - a bargain as well. Read more

Bought 30 of them for our outside decks and steps. They all will light up, but 5 of them have faulty on-off switches. They won't stay on unless you wiggle the switch. Even when you do get them lighted again, they will turn off. Had to purchase six more to replace the faulty ones. Fortunately, they aren't too expensive. Perfect for my deck steps. I even put one on the house and it lights up my walk way. They were a bit smaller than I thought they would be but haven't disappointed. I'm going to buy some more. The lights are very attractive and bright. I wish the screw holes on back were a little larger. It's tedious placing the screws in the perfect location so both sides meet. These are great lights! First, they are slim so they don’t in the way of the use of the stairs. They were easy to install - just two screws (included) per light. They are just the right amount of light - not so bright that it ruins your night vision but enough light to easily see the steps. I used these on one set of stairs (2 per step because these are wide steps) and looking to get a 2nd set for the other exterior stairs. Read more
