I needed to hook up a bunch of USB drives to my Mac mini as I use them for archiving data. Updated Review: The hub DOES work! I had written before that the hub stopped working after a few months, but I recently found out that that I was pulling too much power through the hub and it was shutting down. The hub actually has a small USB-C port on the end to plug in a USB-C cable (plugging it into a USB-C port on the computer) and it supplies all the power needed to run all 7 ports at one time. I only wish they had made that clear in the original description, because I didn't know to look for the port, thus I am reducing the 5-star rating down to 4-stars. Read more
