Why did you pick this product vs others?: I LOVE these Olympina vests--lots of roomy pockets with good, sturdy zippers. As a short, elderly woman, I use these vests instead of a pocketbook because the weight can be distributed evenly among the pockets (which is good for posture), my things are organized, and the vest poses less of a threat of my being robbed because it can't be ripped off of my shoulder as easily as a shoulder bag or pocketbook could be. I love these vests also for travel because I can add about 10 pounds of stuff that would otherwise have to go in a carry-on that has to be weighed. These vests are well made and well designed., and they are washable, but I would wash them separately because the colors bleed. A friend introduced them to me a few years ago and now I can't live without them. They are sized small, so I'd advise others to get them at least 2 sizes larger than what they'd normally order. I've re-ordered these several times and I'm sure I'll do so again when my current ones wear out (and that takes a while even though I use them daily). Read more
Good looking vest that has so many pockets you may not know what to do with all of them. I use this vest as my dog-walking vest that I keep filled with dog treats, a ball for play at the local park, collapsing water bowl, terry towel, sunglasses and of course poop bags. And I still have pockets available for other stuff. I’d say that the fit is on the small size so my recommendation is to size up when ordering. This vest has no inner lining or insulation which I appreciate for keeping the garment lightweight and breathable for wearing in warm weather. Read more
Very nice and fits to size, a few too many zippers but you can cut those out if you want them open. The vest main zipper is set up like a female garmet with the male insert pin on the right and slider/pull tab on the left. So you pull up with your left hand, really it is no big deal. Overall made well. Read more
I like this vest. For the price it is a serviceable vest that should last at least a season or two. Yes the "D" rings and the zippers are plastic, but if you want a vest with metal hardware you'll have to pay 3 or 4 times as much, and such things are fairly easy to replace if necessary. It's lightweight and comfortable. I bought a XXX - large, a size up from my usual, so I can wear it over a few layers if it's cold. Over just a shirt it's light and air circulates freely. There are so many pockets, I don't think I've found them all yet. Read more

I ordered a man's vest, and it seems to fit right, and the construction looks ok, but it has 2 things that really annoy me. 1. It zips on the opposite side for men. Usually the zipper is on the right side, mine is on the left. I had to double check if I ordered the right thing. 2. no loop at the top for you to hang from a hook. A vest like this is something I throw on when walking the dogs, running errands, etc. I like to hang it right by the door. No way to hang this one by a hook. Read more
My husband had open heart surgery , it’s called LVAD. Which means he has a permanent computer that is charged by two batteries which he is caring around with him , this vest is perfect to hold the batteries in the inside pockets. It also hide the cords , he feels more confident . The look is exactly what he likes . I will definitely buy another one. Thank you for making it affordable. Read more
The general fabric and construction of the vest was as expected, and the fit is close enough. Where the serious problems lie are with the zippers - and there are zippers all over! When I first tried the vest on, I noticed that the main front zipper was quite balky, and was very rough in its operation. I tried all of the other zippers and, while stiff, seemed to operate acceptably. I had hopes that the main zipper might move more freely with use. I decided to wash the vest to remove any residual sizing, and put it in with a regular wash load. When I removed the laundry from the dryer, I noticed that one of the zipper pulls fell into the basket. Upon examination I found that TWO were missing, and the other was found at the bottom of the washer tub. These were for two of the interior pockets, and had each been operated only once! Upon examination, I can't see that any of the other zippers enjoy a superior construction. For a garment that is designed primarily around the proper function of is various pockets, this experience makes it difficult to recommend this product to anyone. It would have been a pretty decent product otherwise. Read more
