I'm not a big Christmas person and don't usually wear winter holiday themed clothing, aside from a funny shirt here and there. I almost passed this by because it's labeled as an ugly Christmas sweater and my friends/family don't do the ugly sweater parties. The thumbnail image caught my attention because the sweater was black with white trees. I wear a lot of black. The design isn't too Christmasy... it's pine trees in the snow. A nice winter pattern that doesn't necessarily have to be for Christmas. I went by the size chart and ordered my usual size (small). You never know how clothing sizing on Amazon will turn out because a lot of these images are photoshopped or made with AI. The sizing was perfect for me. Loose enough to wear a base layer underneath and not too tight. The bottom hem hits where your legs and hips meet. The fit matches what is shown in the images. Size up if you want a baggier fit. The sweater is soft, warm and comfortable. I wore it without a shirt underneath, as it hasn't gotten too cold here yet, and the fabric wasn't itchy at all. The sweater came in perfect condition. No holes, loose threads, and no irregular seams. There were some creases from being packed in the vacuum sealed bag, but they brushed out easily with a few swipes of the hand. This is a good quality sweater. I'm happy with my order. This is going to be a go-to this winter for sure. It will be good for my company's xmas party, which is going to be held at a more casual setting. Read more

I genuinely try not to be too nitpicky in reviews - I really don't. I try to give every item that I review a fair shake based on manufacturer claims and relative pricing. This sweater just does not measure up. First - the good. It is a very soft knit, comfortable to touch and against your skin, and I expect it to get even better with a few washings. It's not nearly so "ugly" as advertised, though yes, it's not going to win any beauty contests. I should mention that there is a lot more excess knit on the exterior of this garment than I would anticipate for it being new in package. That said, my complaints stem mainly from construction/stitching - the stitching is ROUGH. Seams and stitching are both uneven, making the neckline somewhat twisted and askew when worn unless you physically stretch and adjust it. Yes, I know that all sweaters might need a little tweaking once on your back, but that's not what I am referring to - the neck opening almost feels constructed a little "off" from center. My wife took better than a minute to get it adjusted just to be able to get a decent photo of it. This is realistically more like a $15-20 sweater. For the price they're asking I expected a lot more care in putting it together. Caveat - there is always the chance that I got a dud - one that squeaked through quality control without getting caught, so check others' reviews to ascertain if this is the case. There is ribbing on the cuffs, the neck line and the bottom of the sweater. It is very soft to the touch.
