First the bad: Incredibly wasteful amount of paper/cardboard packaging. Also wasteful is the razor "stand" - useless piece of junk. The razor can be knocked off the stand far too easily, risking its damage. Almost seems like it was designed not for this, but some other razor handle - it's that bad! Threw mine away on the first day. Now the good: After 3 shaves on 1-2 day old (rough) beards, it provided some of the most comfortable shaves ever, and also very close. Far preferable to my Mach 3 or Harry's blades. Value will be determined by how long each blade performs well, since the price premium is significant. Read more

I love the purchase. I have bought plenty of razors. I cut hair that’s part of my living so I definitely know grooming products, clippers, etc. this is the closest razor. I’ve used compared to a single straight razor blade for a close smooth shave. This is not my first time purchasing Gillette razors either I will say this is the best model. I have tried so far out of all the new lineup. Only drawback is, I wish the razor fit in the holder a little better. Also, the razor replacements are quite pricey, which is the only reason I deducted one star. But a strong four star for durability quality of product can’t be overstated. Read more

I gave this shaver 3 stars because the blades don’t hold up well. After the first week, they start causing irritation, and by the third week, it gets noticeably worse.
