Great size for smaller projects
I needed a pan for steaming sourdough bread in the oven while baking. The idea is, when using a pizza stone for baking you put a pan underneath it and throw in about a cup of ice cubes to make steam at the beginning so the bread does a fast rise before hardening into crust. I was using an old pizza pan and some of the cubes bounced out and fell on the bottom of the oven. They left a hard water stain that I need to try to clean off. So I wanted a bigger target to toss the cubes into. One of these pans will work great. They would also be useful for roasting a chicken or a turkey breast. They are sturdy enough but for safety but I would use a cookie sheet underneath if there was anything heavy in the pan. They are smaller than the turkey sized roasting pans but that makes them easier to store as well. Read more
