This clock is a really neat one with lots of features you wouldn't normally find in one. On the downside: - The little stairs are difficult and only barely attached so they fall off if you're not careful - The clock is in military time so a bit daunting for kids initially (my son is fine doing the math to figure things out but definitely not something he's accustomed to) On the positive: - The plasma ball feature is unique and interesting - The controller for the clock is custom and has buttons for plasma and the lighting elements - The lighting is really neat and my son uses it nightly in his room to light his ceiling Characters are a bit cheap as expected from plastic toys but still fun to roleplay with a bit. There is a sound that plays when you initially turn on the plasma ball which got my son very excited on first use as it seemed to just come alive. The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my son for Christmas. It didn't work right. None of the functions worked together and the only function that continued to work at all was the time. I contacted customer support. They did immediately try to remedy the issue by sending a second one. The second one came it, it works worse than the first. No mattr how good your customer service is, you cannot make anyone happy of you sell junk products. Absolutely do not buy. The light effect is amazing on this. It is really impressive. The functionality is fairly limited to on and off functions. The clock display is bright and crisp. If it wasn't limited to 24 hour time I would give it 5 stars. I'm not going to take the time to teach my 8 year old this. Read more
