Having paid less than 40 USD, I didn't expect much. I just wanted something decently made and functional, so I figured that's all it would be and I was fine with that. BOY WAS I WRONG. Everything about this box is LUSH. It looks and feels beautiful, inside and out, and it is so easy to use and enjoy. Fast ship in its own sturdy heavy cardboard box (kinda like a very large Caudalie order but better) and carefully wrapped, including an authentication card. The quality is BEYOND what I paid for this. Neat stitching, fast closure, sturdy but not too heavy to lift or use, thoughtfully designed compartments, functional layout, and it includes a terrific mirror for dressing. This jewelry box houses far more than I thought it would -- both a large and small train case worth of jewelry, plus two flat wooden boxes worth of treasures -- and I AM SO IMPRESSED. How have I never heard of Glenor before? This is a good brand! And what else do they make? I am so pleased with this purchase. First, it comes packed in a lovely, but sturdy box. If you give it as a gift, the box under the wrapping paper is very nice. The box was snug and I was concerned about getting the jewelry case out, but when the lid was removed, one side hinged down so I could slide the jewelry case out easily. Second, the look is simple, yet elegant and I'm glad I read the reviews and chose the black case. It looks elegant. The clasp is lovely and unobtrusive. Third, the compartments are ample. I easily added several sets of pearls, gold & silver rope necklaces, several bangles, lots of earrings. And, still had room for my not-so-precious jewelry. Fourth, the top compartment seats easily and snugly with lots of room to close the lid. Read the reviews carefully. Although I have several bangles 1/2" thickness, this is not for wide cuff-style bracelets. This has a simple, uncluttered look on my dresser. I would not hesitate to give this as a gift. When you buy the woman you love a jewelry box to store the miscellaneous trinkets you've bought her over time, you're basically saying: "Keep all this stuff tidy & together, and please be reminded of the love I put into carefully choosing each of these pretty things for you." If the jewelry box isn't both lovely to look at and useful in keeping things organized, you're in trouble. Instead of reminding her of the trinkets she loves each time she opens it, she will instead be annoyed at the shoddy construction or frustrating issues with the box itself...which will only reflect poorly on you and in some ways diminish her happy memories of the items stored within. Simple love this jewelry box, I ordered one and it worked so well I went back and bought a second one. I was really surprised at how well made it is. It looks great sitting out or tucked away. I needed something more portable than a jewelry armoire and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I love the larger sections on the bottom for necklaces and bracelets, and the lift out top has plenty of options to store my smaller items. I needed something to house my more expensive items in a easy to select way yet have it portable enough to be able to tuck it away when necessary. I looked at a lot of other items but I am glad I went with this box. I like the idea of an attached lid and the magnetic clasp, the mirror is a bonus. Shipping was done very well; it came very carefully packaged to ensure there was no damage. Just to note, on arrival it had a kind of strong chemical smell, so I just left it open and kept the tiers separated for about 24 hours to dispel the smell. With the smell gone, I filled it up. I feel like I would have liked it more if it didn't have the 12 small slots and instead had another 3 bracelet-sized slots or another 2 long slots, but that has more to do with what kind of jewelry I own and thus my personal needs for space than anything else. Outside of the interior functionality, I can also state that the outside of the case is sleek and visually appealing. This is actually a case I don't mind leaving on a shelf in my room to act decorative, instead of hiding it in the closet. I find that when I have easier access to my jewelry, I'm more likely to actually wear any of it, so this is a definite advantage in my opinion. Overall, it's a good case. I love this jewelry box! It's just the right size for me when used together with the stackable boxes. Really even alone would be great, but I love the look of the stackable boxes. The only problem is a mark on the top of the box. It looks like a small area is missing the black coating. I worry it will only get larger in time, so I am sending it back. I'm ordering the exact same one to replace it. I really do love it. As far as packaging, it's packaged beautifully and perfect for gift giving, especially for gifts to self! Read more
