I didnt expect to love this candle warmer as much as I do. I am a big candle person, I try to light them according to my moods, the seasons, etc. Some of the reasons I love this: - with the touch of a button it lights up and begins to warm. I can walk into the room and hit the switch - no finding the lighter and taking the time to light it. I know it seems like such an easy task but I use my candles more with this than I ever have before. - no charred smell when you turn it off like blowing out a candle. - the candle appears to last longer. I swear everytime I lit a candle it would drop by 1/2 inch or so limiting its use. I have used this to warm my candle for 8 hours straight over many days and it doesn't appear to have dropped at all The light is also dimmable giving me some control over the light itself and how much fragrance permeates throughout the room. It came with an extra light bulb. The neck of the lamp is adjustable giving you more control and allowing different size candles. The base is big enough to fit the very popular candles from name brands although it could be a bit bigger- it still fits. The lampshade portion is adjustable in height so you can use different size candles in it. It is electrical, not battery powered but it has a times that you can set for 2, 4, or 8 hours, so you can use it safely and know it will turn itself off at the right time. You can also adjust the brightness level. This is a nice feature, it adds a little ambiance to a room without being overpowering. Adjusting the light level adjust the heat output as well. The scent from the candle carries well using this and the bonus part is that the candles last so much longer! This is an excellent way to use your candles and reduce the risk of an accidental fire.
