Comfortable, stylish, dressy. A little hard to get on.
Although I normally wear Asics running shoes on a daily basis, I have recently bought a few pairs of cowgirl type boots for occasions when my husband and I go out for dinner. I usually wear a size 7 and bought these boots in size 6.5 as recommended in the camel color which is a medium brown. I tried them on with medium thick wool blend socks and found them to be snug to get on. Once I had them on, they were very comfortable. So, I will be keeping them. The pictures were taken while wearing boot leg jeans. So, what are my observations as to the good and not so good of these boots. Good: 1) The color is a nice medium brown and the pattern on them is muted, but adds style and makes them look dressy. 2) The material the boot is made of looks like a soft suede and seems to be high quality. I don't know how they will hold up if they get wet. 3) They are comfortable with medium thick socks, but a bit difficult to get on. This may improve with time. 4) The heels are not "clicky" meaning they seem softer and don't click on the floor when you walk. 5) They look a lot dressier than running shoes. :) Possible "not so goods" 1) Depending on your instep, they may be difficult to get on. I have a high instep, and getting them on was tight. They were comfortable once I got them on. 2) The top of the boot is not as high as some. Depending on the length of your pants, the top of the boot may show when you sit down. 3) Not sure I like the elastic showing. A zipper would have been better and likely easier to get on. 4) Made of a suede type material that may not hold up if worn in wet weather. 5) Although this is not a problem for me, the top of this boot is somewhat narrow. If you don't have a slim calf, this boot may cut, or be uncomfortable on your calf or ankle. I hope this review was helpful for you. Read more
