Globe Electric 65584 14 Integrated LED Flush Mount Ceiling Light Chrome Finish Frosted Shade Slim Low Profile 2200

I was shopping Amazon for a quality low profile bathroom ceiling light with chrome trim for a my current bath remodel. This Globe fixture stopped my shopping in its tracks and I ordered it immediately. The chrome trim blends in perfectly with my other chrome fixtures like the vanity lights, mirror, faucets, shower hardware, etc. I installed this fixture in under 2 minutes once I removed the light from the box. It came with the proper 8/32” screws and the correct wire nuts. As a former electrician who has installed a lot of inferior lighting fixtures I know quality when I see it. It has a metal chromed base, not plastic. This LED fixture offers plenty of light, great build quality, it’s easily installed and has reasonable $60 price. Just buy it! Read more

Build quality is good and installation was reasonably easy. It was replacing the temporary $2 socket on the ceiling with a 1600 lumens LED bulb. From the non-scientific, purely visual test, it is definitely NOT brighter than that temporary setup, so the rating of 2000+ lumens in description is likely not accurate. Great light for the money! I was very leery buying the light, knowing that the cover was plastic and not glass...but it looks great! We installed this in bathroom of a historic home and it looks wonderful. The chrome goes well with the other fixtures and we liked how flush it is with the ceiling, so our other light fixture could be the showpiece. Installation took literally 7 minutes; so easy. I bought two of these lights to replace an old, ugly fixture in a very dark hallway and to replace an infrared heat lamp in my bathroom (the condo is from the 70s). I did not install them, but the handyman who did said that they were extremely easy to install. They look great and produce a LOT of light. The one in the bathroom is actually a little too bright to use except when I'm cleaning. The LEDs cannot be replaced; the lamp needs to be replaced once they burn out. HOWEVER, unless you have them on 24/7 they will last for decades. Read more

Ultra thin clean looking light. The cover is plastic but pretty. Covers led board. Not difficult to put up and elegant. Warm white as described. Put on a dimmer. Note due to the style of light, it only sends light downwards and not outwards at all so cant use to light large spaces or where you need light thrown high into corners in my opinion. I bought this light for an over kitchen sink application, great low profile and the fact that it's dimmable was also a plus. The only thing that would make it better would be adjustable Lumen output levels to match the adjustable Lumens of the surrounding can lights. Otherwise, great light, very happy with the purchase, plan to buy another one. Read more
