I wear a sleep mask every single night, and I’ve gone through dozens over the years. One issue I consistently have is that most masks don’t wash well. Since this one is hand-wash cold water only, I put it in the same category as the cheaper masks—meaning I’ll end up replacing it every few months due to sweat and bacteria buildup. Something to keep in mind if you’re a nightly user like me. The design does feel higher quality compared to budget options, and it definitely looks more premium. The front is more rigid than what I’m used to, which isn’t ideal for me because I sleep in every position throughout the night. As a frequent side sleeper, I could feel the mask more than usual. I do think I could get used to it after a couple weeks, but right now I’m not loving the rigidity. The eye space and depth are very generous—my eyes and lashes don’t touch the fabric at all. The foam is dense and keeps anything from pressing into my eyelids, and no matter what I tried, no light came through, which is a huge plus. The strap is adjustable with a slide-style clasp (much better than Velcro in my opinion). However, the mask tends to slide down onto the bridge of my nose and makes it harder to breathe through my nose—especially annoying since I already deal with allergies and congestion. Loosening the strap just makes the mask feel too loose overall. Many of my complaints could actually be positives for other people, so I’m not deducting too much for the things I personally don’t love. The quality absolutely matches the price. It’s just not the best fit for me. I prefer softer masks with concave eye rests since I barely feel them on, and replacing them more often makes more sense budget-wise for how I use them.
