Sturdy Swedish Ladder with Quality Pull-Up & Dip Bars—Great for Home Gyms

OregonomadAugust 18, 2025✓ Verified purchase

Excellent Swedish ladder / stall bars for a wall-mounted home gym. The pull-up and dip bars are the standout—stable, comfortable to grip, and genuinely useful for warm-ups, mobility, and bodyweight strength. Why I bought it: I wanted a compact, wall-mounted setup for mobility, stretching, and light strength work that my family could use. The stall bars + bar attachments checked every box without eating up floor space. I also wanted it for my son who likes to workout with me. First impressions (shipping & build): Arrived quickly and well-packaged—no dents or scuffs. The overall build feels solid and durable. The wood is smoothly finished, hardware lines up well, and the bars look clean enough for a living space. Ease of use: Instructions were semi clear. Installation took more time than expected (find studs, level, mount). Once on the wall, there’s no learning curve—you can start with hangs, step-ups, stretches, or pull variations right away. I think I spent 1-2 hours installing Performance: It does exactly what it promises for mobility, core, and bodyweight work. The pull-up and dip bars are better than I expected—secure fit, smooth grip, no wobble. Great for progressions (assisted pulls, isometric holds, knee raises, incline rows, dips) and daily stretching. How it compares: I’ve used other wall units and budget setups (some feel flimsy or plasticky). This one stands out for its solid construction, clean finish, and the quality of the attachment bars at this price. Who it’s for: Home gym owners who want space-saving, wall-mounted equipment Mobility, rehab, and core work (great for daily hanging and spinal decompression) Bodyweight training fans who want pull-up/dip bar versatility without a bulky rack Would I buy again? Yes. Highly recommend for anyone building a compact, versatile home gym. Purchased at full price—this is my honest opinion. Quick Pros & Cons Pros Sturdy, wall-mounted design; feels secure Smooth, comfortable bars for pull-ups and dips Space-saving; looks clean in a living area or garage gym Easy install with clear instructions Cons Wall mounting requires studs and tools (typical for this style) If your wall is uneven, take extra time on alignment and anchoring Helpful Tips Mount at a height that allows both full hangs and comfortable stretching on lower rungs. Use proper anchors into studs and check level twice before tightening. Start with active hangs, scap pull-ups, hamstring stretches, and incline rows, then progress to knees-to-elbows, leg raises, dips, and isometric holds. Add a yoga mat or stall mat under the unit for floor-based mobility drills. Read more

Great for kids and adults!

This has been great. We bought this for my son to hang attachments from so he can climb and get his wiggles out on rainy days. He absolutely loves it and my husband and I make good use of it too for exercise. Both of us can do pull ups on it no problem and it's very sturdy. Installation was fairly simple, we did need to add boards to compensate for the difference in where the studs sit. We're very happy with it! Read more

Really well-made and just right for my space

I have seen several versions of this Swedish Ladder on Amazon and elsewhere and thought it would be a good workout option for me. I studied the different styles (all-wood, mixed metal and wood, etc.), and this one looked like a real possibility. It was offered at a very competitive price on Amazon and had some trustworthy high ratings, so I ordered it, after consulting with our son and daughter-in-law, both physical trainers. They warned that I should be very careful to anchor it securely. It arrived well-packaged and in good condition within a couple of days, and a friend of mine and I installed it over the space of a few hours. We spent a good deal of that time just making sure we were attaching it to studs behind the drywall. The instructions that came with it were remarkably good, and all the parts were there and well-labeled, so there were no mysteries in the assembly process. We were able to locate it exactly where I wanted it on 24" on-center studs. We drilled small pilot holes to insure that we hit those studs squarely. We assembled the entire unit first with mounting brackets in place, so that we could accurately locate the pilot holes, then we drilled the larger holes for the mounting hardware. The lag screws supplied for the unit are very substantial and really made for a sturdy installation against the wall. One reason I like this unit is that it sits about 7" off the wall (some other Swedish Wall units are much closer to the wall) and the pull-up bar sits higher and far enough from the wall to allow for pull-ups either facing toward or away from the wall. There are also really high-quality dip bars (not pictured) that are very easy to maneuver to different bar levels. I’m a little over 5'9", and the fit for me is perfect. There’s just enough room on all the bars and even on the pull-up bar for me to use the hand positions inside or outside the frame. Very happy with this purchase and the installation! Read more

High-quality ladder needs minor installation adjustments

KathyKFebruary 3, 2026✓ Verified purchase

The media could not be loaded. In the United States most studs are 16” on center. This does not work with the spacing provided which is made for 23” studs (approx). We used ChatGpt to help us. AI suggested using horizontal ledger boards at each of the three bracket points. We purchased 3 - 4”x 36” x 1” oak boards and left them natural which closely matched the pine dowels. We used 2.5” lag bolts and screwed them into the studs and then used the lag bolts provided to screw the ladder into our ledger boards. It’s super sturdy and we love it! Great for stretching and band work. Will add more tools later. Read more

Loving this ladder.

Stating FactsAugust 6, 2025✓ Verified purchase

This things is pretty bad ass. I love the look and build of it, purchased for myself but the entire family takes joy in it, even my toddler. The price is good, my only concern is replacement wood pieces for the ladder. The wood does mark up when switching the handle bars, if that was to deteriorate over time, how would I get replacements? Overall, loving it. Read more
