I love this thing! This lighter works really well. I like that it charges with USB and I dont have to buy fuel anymore. The bendy neck makes lighting candles and the grill super easy, even when its windy outside. It feels safe to use since it has a slide lock to cover the button. Stores nicely in a drawer. Read more

I've gone through so many of those long-necked butane lighters over the years, and it always feels like such a waste when they run out. I decided to try a rechargeable electric one, and this GoFire lighter seemed like a practical option. It's very easy to use. You just slide the safety cover up and then press the button to get the electric arc. It does make a very high-pitched, faint buzzing sound when you press the button, but it's not loud or bothersome. The flexible neck is the best part; it's perfect for reaching down into candle jars that have burned down low, which was always tricky with a stiff, non-bendable lighter. The actual ignition point is a small electrical arc between two prongs, so it's not a big flame. It lights a candle wick instantly. I'm not sure it would be my first choice for starting a campfire or a big BBQ, as it seems better suited for precise, small jobs. But for lighting candles, gas stoves, or incense, it's perfect. I love that it's rechargeable via a standard USB cable, so I don't have to hunt for fuel or buy a new lighter. The charge seems to last a very long time; I've been using it for weeks to light candles and haven't had to plug it in again. The safety switch is also a must-have. You have to slide it up to even be able to press the power button, which gives me peace of mind when it's in a drawer. It's a great, eco-friendly replacement for disposable lighters. Read more

This electric lighter is so cool. It looks like there's purple lightning going, but this is where the arc is for you to light your candles, paper, etc. The 7-second auto shutoff works as advertised. I like the safety feature of having to move the A button forward in order to press the B button, which is the power button. Despite having to do this, it's still easy to use. We successfuly have lit paper with this lighter. We have charged it as well and it works. I think an electric charger is really cool and I'm glad we have this as an option. It is better than a traditional lighter here where I live because it's so dang windy all the time. There's no flame to blow out with the wind! They advertise a large amount of ignitions before you need to charge the battery again. I imagine it will take us an entire year to go through that amount of ignitions. I am skeptical that the battery life will be good enough to last a year without draining, but we will see. Overall, this is an awesome purchase and a good value. Read more

Works right out of the packaging, is easy to use, and recharges easily via USB. I've always wanted one of these flexible, flameless lighters. It can be so difficult to light a deep candle, but this lighter solves that issue. It's also wind- and water-resistant (-proof?), so it can be used outside easily. Issues: The only instructions for this product are the ones printed on the actual packaging. The packaging is the kind you'll need sharp scissors or a knife to open... very, very difficult to open, especially if you want to preserve the instructions. The instructions are on the back, so if you go wild with opening, you'll ruin the only instructions. Fortunately, the product isn't too difficult to use, but it would be nice to have packaging that makes better sense, doesn't risk us harming ourselves when attempting to open, and lets us preserve the only instructions. The primary image in the product description shows a lighter with three heads. Supposedly, this is to show that the lighter has a flexible end. Whether you've ever used a lighter like this before or not, the image should be a clear representation of the product, and it is not. It should minimally have arrows denoting movement, or put two of the three (false) heads in shadow, so people can easily see that there is only one. One picture shows this, but it's 5 images in, far from the primary image. ----- I am reviewing the product, "Rechargeable Electric Lighter – Premium Windproof Flameless Arc Lighter with Flexible Neck, USB Charging, Safety Switch – Eco-Friendly No Butane – for Candles, BBQ, Camping, Fireplace" [sic]. The media could not be loaded. I received this item free through the Amazon Vine Program. I love plasma lighters as they seem to last a long time, and they are more reliable to light. I also like how you don't have to refill with any flammable liquids when it runs out, just plug it in the way and it's as good as new. The lighter does have a safety slider, so it does not accidently get pressed in the drawer. Just be careful lighting wax candles, it will gum up the arc if any wax gets in the area. Read more

This arc lighter works great. Simply slide the switch cover, then press the button and an arc is made that easily lights things like paper and candle wicks. It's long and skinny making it easy to get in to tight places. The flexible tip is about three inches and provides extra convenience. This is my first arc lighter and I'm very happy to have it. I'm so tired of how unreliable fluid filled lighters have become needing to be clicked multiple times even when new. This is instant and reliable with no flame to be blown out in the wind. I also want to point out that this is actually charges with USB C. While many things that are made with USB C plugs only charge with USB A chargers, this does charge with USB C chargers. This has become my go to lighter. Read more
