Had to drill additional holes into base, but overall not a terrible purchase

One side of the base did not have the screw holes in the right spot (or the pipe base was welded onto the pipe in the wrong direction, so the holes were not aligning for the base)...so I had to drill new holes into the base. This was the only way the entire contraption would fit together. Unfortunately the base is MDF material, so I'm sure eventually the screws will pop out. Previous reviewer was correct, in that the color of the bolts and screws are silver and clash against the gold. The gold is a strange hue of gold---very yellow. However, it is functional, sturdy, not ugly, and was under $50, so it works for me. Read more

This is a monster. Huge and unpleasant. All screws are visible and make this stand super ugly. It is not gold. It is a matte yellowish/greenish color, which would be OK, if you don't see uncounted shiny steele screws all around both rack branches. As my husband refused to take it apart that I could return it, I found a match color in my nail polishes to paint all those screws. I will store it in the garage to bring it in only for seasonal occasions when we have guests to hang their jackets on. I would not recommend this. There are plenty of better designs on Amazon.
