The razor is a beauty and it comes with a very nice dual strop. It came very sharp and shaved well. If some feel it isn't sharp enough, very little work will be necessary. The case is vinyl, not leather and it is very irritating how many companies lie about that. However, look at the price again. You can't go wrong with this purchase. I'm giving this a 5/5 stars because it's a great blade, and I love that they included a leather strop as well. My only issue is that it arrived in a condition like someone had literally just sharpened it with a whetstone that had oil on it, then put it in the box to be shipped. There was a buildup of leftover stone material at the base of the knife, and some other type of unidentified material on one side of the blade (possibly a mixture of the sharpening stone and oil), but everything washed off without issue under some hot water. I don't think it is second-hand, just feel like it should have been in a better, more presentable condition in the event that this would have been a gift for someone else. Luckily I purchased this for myself, so I had no issue just cleaning it off before using it. I will say that it was definitely nice and sharp, so it was able to be used right after a quick rinsing, no need to sharpen, or even run it across the leather before using. Looking forward to seeing how long this blade keeps its razor's edge, and how well it keeps up over time. Read more

I've seen other reviews say the blade arrived sharp. I don't agree with that. The blade wasn't able to shave edge lines on my hair out of the box. With that said, it does seem like decent quality steel and everything is included to make it sharp. Overall, this feels heavy which is a good thing. The leather is genuine and actually smells really good. Overall, this is a generous package, but it will need to be sharpened out of the box. Read more
