This ceiling light arrived well packaged with all necessary parts and tools (except a Phillips screwdriver) to assemble, install and wire it to a junction box. The kit includes spare hardware, wrench, wire nuts, mounting screws and lightweight gloves. Instructions are in the form of illustrations, which are adequate. I recommend a 14mm socket in place of the included wrench, but the wrench does the job. Assembly took about 10 minutes. The frame is made of steel and is gold in color. The glass panels that serve as shades are beautiful. The "hammered" surface is irregular, giving it a craggy appearance. There are no sharp edges. Each of the three panels are slightly different. The fixture uses E26 bulbs, which are common household light bulbs. The bulbs are visible from below so choose attractive bulbs, like Edison models. The documentation doesn't mention max wattage but the Amazon page says 60W. It's not clear if that means an actual 60W power draw, or a 60W equivalent LED bulb. Dimming is supported with the proper bulbs and switch. The heavy glass requires a solid junction box or, preferably, a support brace / spanner to securely carry the weight. They're available here on Amazon. Online videos can help with installing a brace if you go that route. Hammered glass is found on high-end light fixtures so this mid-priced unit is a good value. I don't have sheetrock installed yet so I can't show it installed, but it will look beautiful in our remodeled breakfast nook. Read more

I’ve already sent back two other lights this month because they either felt like flimsy tin cans or made my kitchen look like a sterile doctor’s office, but I’m finally done looking. This one has that cool, thick glass that makes the whole room feel warm and cozy instead of having that blinding "interrogation room" vibe from the ceiling. The black finish looks really sharp and feels heavy and solid, like it was actually made to last rather than just being some cheap plastic knockoff. It was surprisingly easy to get up on the ceiling, and I love that I don't have to take the whole thing apart just to swap out a bulb. It honestly looks like something I would’ve paid triple for at one of those high-end boutique shops, and it’s just made the whole kitchen feel way more "put together." Read more
