This does the job pretty much perfectly in our master bathroom shower cabinet area. I was hoping for something that would work exactly like this, not be an intelligence test to assemble, easy to mount and adjust, and actually stay in place and work without any issues. The gold color is a pretty nice match for the existing older miscellaneous yellow polished brass we have all around the master bathroom and toilet. The weight is good, tension is perfect, and the size is just the right mass and thickness. We are happy with this piece of equipment and think that with the gold colored curtain rings (bought separately and from a different manufacturer, on Amazon) and shower curtain (also bought separately and independently, on Amazon), it look as nice if not nicer than a super heavy hi tech frameless door we were considering installing at a horrific cost. Great shower curtain, easy to put together, sturdy, and comes with multiple options to fit your desired length. Weight is on the lighter side, but I put all of the included extensions in to make it more sturdy. Tension seems very good as well. It is sturdy, not heavy at all, and more than enough for length. This is now my favorite curtain rod. Besides the fact that it's my favorite color, it is super sturdy, stylish and rust resistant. I got this one for the guest room since I redecorate it and now gold color goes better with the tile and wall color of the bathroom. Excellent tension, holds the bathroom curtains super good and adjusts perfectly as well. Not a heavy rod at all. Honestly, this rod completely transformed my bathroom and made it feel more elegant and warmer! The only reason why I’m not giving you a five star is because as I was hooking on the hooks for my curtain, they easily got scratched up and some of the paint came off. You can’t tell that much with this picture but you can tell more in person. Also, the instructions were a little bit confusing by assembling it.
