Excellent cape!! This is extremely well made! The material is really good, and it is quite sturdy. The cape itself is ADULT size, not child size. We used it for our child but decided to just hem it up for now. We did not cut it. My neughbor took care of a snake for me that was trying to get into my garage from the yard. I got this and it came next day shipping. I presented it to him letting me know he was my superhero and that if I had to call on him again he had to wear the cape. It’s nicely made. It’s not cheap material. The tie is attached adequately so there is no fear of it ripping off when you pull the strings to tie around your neck. My neighbor is 5’10 and it was perfect length hitting about mid calf on him. Okay, this is a kind of black cape that that drapes over your shoulder a bit and stays open in the chest and downwards. Perfect for a Darth Vader costume where you need to keep the center chest area open for the panel and downwards towards the belt and saber. The big problem was deciding what size cape to order. It seemed from the descriptions, that I should order a medium, being only 5 foot 5" inches. However, Vader's cape is very long, floor length, so I decided to get a large. Also because I haven't worn a medium anything since high school. Anyway, it was the perfect length for the cape. In my bare feet the very edge of the cape drags on the ground in the back. Once I get the Vader boots on, the bottom of the cape will just touch the floor, and when I stride that Vader stride, It will lift and flow back from the ground/floor. If I were needing a shorter cape, say something a little over ankle height or mid-calf, like the Madalorian Cape, then I would probably be okay with a medium. Read more

Perfect! My son dressed as Phantom of the Opera for choir. He's about 5 ft 11 in and it was the perfect length for him. It was lightweight and comfortable for him to wear during his 2 hr performance. It really tied the whole costume together. It was priced fairly and looked authentic. Read more

It's too thick/hot for a Ren Faire but great for an outdoor Halloween cape or costume/addition in cooler weather. i know those sounds strange but equate it to landscaping fabric. I hope this makes sense to my peeps Read more
