Good quality. Fits very well. Durable material

Joe E. ConsumerJanuary 22, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I was surprised to see the quality of the material stitching considering the low price I paid. I bought this robe to be used in the creation of a John Calvin costume. I bought the hat and beanie (see my other reviews on those), and got fur to make the stole collar. Came out beautiful. The hood was not necessary for my application, but the hood is also very nice. I'm keeping this robe for other applications, perhaps a Halloween costume in the future. It is hanging in my closet. This is not the type of costume attire you will soon toss. I really like this robe! Read more

Perfect Cloak for Cosplay or Just Feeling Mysterious

JordanJuly 20, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I was honestly surprised at how nice this cloak turned out to be for the price! The fabric has a good weight to it—not too heavy, but not thin or see-through either. The stitching is clean, and the hood is large and dramatic, exactly what I wanted for a Sith-style costume. I wore this to a cosplay event and got compliments all day. It pairs perfectly with a belt, gloves, and a lightsaber if you’re going for a Star Wars look, but it could easily work for medieval, wizard, or vampire costumes too. The length was just right (I’m about 5’11”) and it flowed nicely when walking. Definitely recommend this for anyone needing a solid, affordable robe for Halloween, conventions, or theater. Just make sure to give it a quick steam or iron out of the package! Read more

Good quality

I got the GOLDSTITCH Men Hooded Robe Cloak and it’s good for Halloween. The hood and cloak style give off the right spooky/fantasy vibe, and it looks great in photos or at a costume event. The material feels okay for occasional wear nothing super heavy, but it works for what it’s meant for. If you’re dressing up for Halloween or a themed event, this robe is a solid choice. Read more

Versatile, Great Quality, and Roomy

Tammy EOctober 23, 2024✓ Verified purchase

I bought this for my 15yo son's Halloween costume, but also for the Sarasota Ren. Faire (if we get to go this year). He is 5'11", about 130lbs, and the Large was the perfect length for him, to his shoes. I imagine a larger/heavier adult would also have room in there, as it fit me at 160lbs, but a little long on my 5'7" self. The material is thick, like a curtain, so won't rip or pique like the thinner cloaks. The tie at the top is also sewn on pretty well, so will hold together better than others, too. He will be using a belt around the middle to keep it from flowing, but not necessary if your costume choice needs a flowing cloak... For the Ren Faire he wants it open. The one thing we didn't like was the over-sized hood, but I did see the pics and all, so not a surprise, but small price to pay for a the good material. I plan on folding it a bit and pinning, but again, maybe you want the big hood or want it down anyway. Overall, my son loves it, and that's what matters. Hope he gets use out of it a few times, and I know it will last a while. Read more

Great fit and looks amazing

I bought this cloak for a Halloween party and honestly loved it! The fabric feels much better than I expected for the price — not too thin, not too heavy. The hood looks dramatic and gives a perfect mysterious vibe. I added a belt and boots, and the whole outfit looked amazing. Got so many compliments! Great value and super comfortable to wear. Nice Inexpensive Robe

Stephen MannAugust 28, 2018✓ Verified purchase

I like to dress up in Harry Potter drag and hang out in Diagon Alley at Orlando Universal Studios, and I'm entertaining a huge family reunion in Florida next June. I want to take the kids into Harry Potter land and do the costuming thing with them, but I will melt in an official HP robe, so I thought "why not make a new robe from lightweight material, and decorate it for an alumnus of Slytherin House". A black robe. Then some UV dye for decoration (so it all happens when I walk into Nocturne Alley) and I'm done. Long story short, I saw this and realized I can't make one cheaper, so decided to see if this would be a good starting point. Yes it will. The material is nice and light, almost translucent in bright light. The fit is good on my weeble-shaped body, but I shall have to take it up a couple of inches. The robe is unlined, so you are going to see some seams. With the robe tied closed and the hood carefully folded back they shouldn't show. For this price you really can't beat it. [UPDATE 10/15/18] I bought a red one too, and will certainly be buying more in different colors. I cannot make cloaks this good for the price being charged and having one from the get-go cuts hours off costume projects. Fitting: I am 5'8", 250 lbs with a 44" waist. A 2x cloak fits me nicely as far as girth and sleeves (which I want a little longer than my arms to add to the mystery and menace) but runs long, being cut for a person over 6' tall. I shall be taking up the cloaks by about 4 inches and adding additional hidden fastenings. I shall also be replacing the ribbon-like ties at the neck with cloak hooks, available from conventions, ren-fayres and very likely here too. The red is a nice rich red and would work for evil clerics, vile satanic cultists, Masque of the Red Death attendees and princess brides. [/UPDATE] Read more
