Bought one about 6yrs ago and another one about 2yrs ago, and both are holding up well. The one from 6yrs ago is starting to show some cracks as the mat is used over holes in apartment carpeting. Easy to clean - either wipe clean with a rag or with a mop (cause sometimes I already have the mop out and go "might as well"). Clear is clear. It's flat, the mat has no smell, and is really durable. This mat is working great for me so far. It appears to be of good quality. Was able to place it under my office chair right out of the box unlike other mats I have bought in the past that needed to be unrolled and time to flatten. We have high pile, plush carpet in our home and our desk chair would not roll at all while you were seated. This Gorilla chair mat fixes that completely. The mat is much thicker than average chair mats and is very sturdy. We’ve used it for several weeks. The chair rolls well. The mat doesn’t dip or sag under our weight and there are no cracks or fractures from use. So five stars for functionality. Taking off a star because of delivery. This item doesn’t ship in a box. It just arrives as is - flat with a shipping label slapped on it. Our first one arrived with at least 2 corners broken. For some perplexing reason, Amazon required it to be boxed in order to return it. Which was a hassle given the size of the item. Also a headache that could have been avoided if it had arrived in a box that we could use to return it. The replacement also arrived with no box, but luckily had no damage. So whether you receive one that’s broken or not is left entirely up to the shipper and how much care they take with it. Read more
