This is a plush bath mat with what feels like a memory foam layer inside, and rubberized backing. The product description says that "our TP Rubber mats have been third party tested to be washed and dried over and over again for long lasting use", but the actual washing instructions on the mat and enclosed sheet say to machine wash, and not to machine dry - you must lay flat or hang to dry. Based on that quote, it suggested to me that I could machine was AND dry the bath mat which would make it unique. For most mats, it's the heat of the dryer that has disintegrated the backing, in my experience. In that way, I'm disappointed. I will end up tumble drying it briefly on a no-heat setting at least to get some of the moisture out before hanging to dry. It's true to color and texture as shown. The price at $16.99 is reasonable for the thickness and quality. Overall, it's a decent mat. But the very first claim in the product description is what caused me to order this right away - and that claim has already fallen short once the official washing instructions arrived with the product.
