Got this to place in front of a Tonal. Works perfectly and is just the right size so that I rarely step off of the mat. Very sturdy and holds up to tennis shoes and vigorous workouts, yet comfortable enough to go barefoot or in socks. With this mat I never have to use a yoga mat, so it's the best of both worlds. Cleans up like new after vacuuming and mopping or wiping down. Sizing was spot on true to advertised. You get what you pay for with Gorilla Mats. Read more
Initial review of about a week. Excellent weight and quality from what is presented thus far. I own a commercial boutique personal training studio in (hipster-ville) capitol Silverlake CA. With all the talk of pandemic pivoting during these difficult times of business, I created an outdoor option for my clientele. This space was created behind an already complete indoor gym. Business has been great since 2013, so sourcing a good product without breaking the expense budget was key. Especially now. It was important to have something I could take up (Roll up) when the weather isn’t the usual SoCal sun. So it’ll see many dry months of use. Also considering longevity I may store it inside every night so the creepy crawlers don’t make it apart of their home. Or it happens to “walk off” in the night. I think what’s great so far is how durable it seems, and light enough for one person to move it. It rolls flat right out the box. No bubbles or warps etc. Real flat and smooth. Working over the years with the industrial and commercial floors, this is a godsend, though Ultimately may not have the same wear quality. We’ll have weights on it and a squat rack eventually. And more clients giving the space a go. That’s where the True test will come. Either way it’s nicer than putting people on a single mat and concrete. Our sessions aren’t cheap, so I couldn’t justify sparing the costs here. I got the largest size possible and it turned out great. IMO. If Instagram is any evidence of a good visual with feedback, I’ve received many compliments on creating the space and what products I’m using etc. This one is a winner! Ps. My only request (small request), is they make it in black/grey speckled or flake colors to camouflage the footprints and make the decor livelier. It would also then match our floors inside. My guess here is that something like that rubber blend wouldn’t roll as well possibly IDK. Read more

This is an outstanding mat, nice pattern, and nice texture on the top. I got the blue, it lightens up my exercise area. Spend the extra money to get this, it’s worth it! Read more
I purchased this mat to place over carpet in my basement to use as a workout mat. It is similar to a yoga mat material but slightly thicker. It is on the lighter weight which is great when moving but it frequently moves on the floor after working out and I have to readjust it. The ends do curl up so you’ll need to place something heavy on the ends to flatten. Have used for over a year now and the mat still looks new. Workout mainly include dumbbells and body weights- not dropping any weights on the mat or intense workouts. I have large dogs and the mat holds up against them playing on it. Read more
Great mat for MMA, tumbling, wrestling and weightlifting. My husband and I utilize it for all the above. The mat was a great buy and easy to clean. It takes up almost a whole room when laid all the way out. Read more
Easy to roll up and put away and the velcro ties hold it together so it can be stored in our coat closet. There is plenty of room to work out and the mat doesn't move on the carpet like our old mat "puzzle pieces" did. No damage to the carpet so far and we use it 3-5 days a week for cardio, weights and floor exercises. It is a little smelly like rubber but not bad and I imagine that will fade some over time. Seems like it should last forever. Read more
Update 3 yrs post-purchase Jan ‘24. Everything below still hold true and the mat is still in perfect condition. I use it several times a week including using and dropping dumbbells and using steps and boxes. Original review April ‘21: The mat is good and seems durable. It is in our basement which has a concrete floor. The mat alone on that floor was not cushioned enough, so I put it on top of an old area rug and the 2 together are fine and provide the right amount of cushioning. The mat does not slip on the rug (I’m doing burpees, mountain climbers, etc). I decided on this mat because it was one piece vs. the puzzle type mats which I was afraid would move/separate while exercising. The mat is easy to move and can be rolled up and moved out of the way if needed. I would also mention, there is NO odor from the mat (sometimes things like this have that rubber smell- there is NONE). I’m glad I went with the extra large size as it just gives you the room you need without worrying you may be on the edge. I would recommend. Read more
