I chose to get 2-20# plates, for a total of 40#, and the padding on the shoulders as well as the perfect weight distribution makes it feel like it’s a part of me instead of the floppy vest I had before. The Velcro is strong and sturdy, material is high quality, and changing out the plates is made easy by the thoughtful design. The media could not be loaded. I’m a 235 pound muscular guy. I was wearing a backpack with weights, while walking a few miles daily, and I wanted to try this vest. My first impression is it’s very well built. The second one is it may not be suitable for anyone much larger than myself. I think I’m about at the limit for girth and it’s expandable Velcro strap system. I have only used flat plates, and I would like to try the curved for a little more natural feel. I definitely recommend for anyone 220 and under who is in shape, and has a more athletic build. Read more
