I got this e-bike for my wife just over a year ago or 7. October 2024. Assembly was easy and bike was ready to ride in less than 30 minutes. Gears have never had to be adjusted but brake cables set in a little so after 2-3 rides I had to adjust the brakes. The weight of the bike is only about 45 pounds with the battery, so it is easy to fit on a bike rack and to hang to my wall mounts in the garage and it is easy to ride without battery power. Now after one year the battery is still like new and range is just over 30 miles running the bike at speed settings 2 or 3 (10 and 15MPH aprx). In august 2025 the bike stopped working. I contacted the Gotrax customer service and right away they sent a replacement display unit which was easy to replace. That did not fix the problem and right away and Gotrax sent a replacement controller unit and that took just over 2 weeks to arrive. Lydia at Gotrax customer service was very helpful and sent DIY videos how to replace parts. After reading few of the reviews I wanted to point out that when you buy an e-bike, or anything for that matter, from a small company you have to be self sufficient to DIY any repairs under warranty. Don’t expect a small business to have nation wide warranty repair service. I support small businesses and bike repairs are an easy DIY task especially when you have a video to follow. I do recommend this e-bike for anyone who needs a city e-bike or one to venture on the smoother bike trails. After one year of use and over 1000miles it is still running like new, battery at full capacity, tires good, gear shifting great and front suspension fork still smooth and its low weight makes it easy to handle. All of this at a very favorable price point. Read more

1 YEAR UPDATE !! 7/2/2025 Purchased - May, 2024 I use the bike 6 out of 7 days a week. The battery is still in perfect condition and lasts as long as it did day 1. I charge the battery overnight or during the day when it hits 20%. I noticed that running the lowest setting (1 - 5 speed setting) is just a slower build up to max speed. I use the first setting and pedal, saving battery and going just as fast as the 5th speed. 5th speed gives a much quicker speedup from a stop. --------Original review before update-------- Compared to a regular non-electric bike, this has made getting to work MUCH easier. I ride 8mi total (4 there, 4 back) and the battery drops from 100% to 80% using PEDAL ASSIST and THROTTLE. It dropped to 60% when I mostly used throttle. This makes getting uphill possible without breaking a sweat. It has improved my quality of life a lot, being able to get to work FASTER, and less exhausted, while still being able to exercise like a normal bike. I’ve been charging it to full after I get home and let the bike sit for a little while. I have never built a bike, and it was VERY EASY as long as you follow the directions. BUT……. The breaks on both wheels were too tight and I had to fidget with them for a couple hours to get them to stop making a grinding noise. IDK if there is an easy way of fixing that, it took me a while of straight tightening and loosening the breaks. ^and im pretty sure I made the breaks a little less powerful by fidgeting with it with no knowledge of how to do it the correct way, but the bike makes no noise, and breaks still work perfectly. —-> look up a YouTube video on how to stop breaks from making noise. There’s a way by loosening the breaks, PRESSING your breaks, then tightening them. That fixed it immediately, just look at multiple videos and try to find someone show that specific way. The little light reflectors on both wheels came loose, I knocked both out of place when building the bike. I just pushed them back into place and they haven’t moved while riding. I’m only putting that in the review to try and let people know that it’s NOT BROKEN, it scared me at first but I have had absolutely 0 problems riding this bike so far. I’m beyond happy with how it’s been performing. ——BIKE INSTEAD OF UBER! —— I was spending $15 on Uber rides 2 times a day, $600 to me is VERY WORTH THE PRICE if you are someone who takes Ubers to work or school and are looking to save money long-term. WARNING‼️ ‼️WEAR A HELMET, THIS THING IS FAST‼️ EDIT AFTER 1 MONTH: I love this bike. It’s made getting to work SO MUCH LESS OF A CHORE. GET SLIME FOR YOUR TIRES! I go over thorns frequently. I put slime in my tires and I no longer get flats. Read more

I am glad to have this electric bike. Assembly was straightforward, and I had it ready to room about half an hour. The build quality is solid, and everything feels well made and reliable. The ride itself is smooth, and it handles bumps and uneven roads comfortably. It is easy to adjust how much power I want while riding, and the speed system shifts smoothly. The bike feels stable, responsive, and easy to control. Read more

I absolutely love the look, feel, and ride of this bike. I bought it because it was the lightest ebike I could find at this price point. I love that the battery is easily removable for indoor charging. The bike is sturdy and the handlebar and seet hieghts easily adjustable to allow others to ride. The pedals are strong grippy metal. I don't need to wear my bike shoes or add shoe cups as my feet stay firmly in place when peddling. I bought this bike because one of my favorite roots has significant hills in either direction. I love that this bike pedals with ease even with no power. I typically try to use the pedal assist mode only when needed to help me strengthen my biking muscles. Having the extra assist to get up, those hills is a dream. I did need to buy a new bike rack for towing as the bike does weigh about fifty pounds and is a step through model. I have taken the bike out on three good trips before having to recharge the battery. I would recommend the bike to anyone. Tip: my bike came with a light which I could not figure out how to turn on and then realized if you press and hold the up Button it turns on. Read more
