This is my initial entry into the Govee Home Lighting ecosystem. Build quality is top notch for these lights. Install was simple and straightforward even for electrical boxes that are over 20 years old. Fit and level was very easily achieved. Connections were pretty standard as well, which all of these are a plus when trying to install on an older home. Software and adding the devices were simple as expected with the mature app and support this system already has. The base functions of the lights are strong. The white light option gets brighter as the light gets warmer definitely providing a safe viewing area for our security cams. The single zone colors are great. Where I’m not impressed with the lights are the “lamp” color selection part of the app. The colors tend to wash out and are not truly the base colors you select. When the blue and orange are applied to the lights as lamp zones the colors nothing like the base preset color when all three lamp zones are the same selected color. In the pics attached I have all three lamp zones selected as blue or orange and they look great, but when you use the lamp zones to make each lamp have both blue and orange the colors are way off. Maybe that can be addressed in future updates or maybe it never will improve. It’s not a deal breaker but it’s an advertised feature that doesn’t actually work very well. I will test with the custom setup and try only have two zones instead of three, if that’s possible. Next area to improve… automation tab has time sets to turn the lights on and off. What would be better since these are generally going to be used for front of home lighting would be a dusk til dawn preset that tracks and changes sunrise and sunset the adjusts the times daily/weekly. Our smart switch that has these lights has this feature already built in, but folks without a smart switch would have to change the on/off times as the daylight times change throughout the year. The dynamic scene modes are great for movie nights, work focus, or just setting a mood. Overall, this is a solid product for anyone looking to enhance their space with customizable lighting. I’d love to try out more Govee products and share honest feedback across platforms — whether it’s ambient lighting, outdoor kits, or smart home gadgets. The media could not be loaded. This is a great product, comparing to one of a cheaper alternative(with absolutely same specs), the product has way better build quality, generates brighter whites, and smoother colors, the effects looks better in the Govee one, and the diy option is even better. The light looks cleaner with almost no dark edges. The matter support makes it easier to configure though Google supports limited features with matter. The Govee app is okay. Read more

Really nice porch lights that are easy to install with basic electrical knowledge. Like all of my Govee equipment, it was easy to connect to wifi and works smoothly with Alexa. There are plenty of nice lighting effects you can use to make your porch lights suitable for any holiday or occasion. Read more
Have four Govee Outdoor Wall Lights. - Installation process was straightforward, with easy-to-follow instructions - especially with a preexisting junction box to replace existing outdoor sconce. - Up to 1500 lumens of powerful white light with a color temperature range between 2700 K to 6500 K—perfect for porch. - Ideal for year-round outdoor use - has IP65-rated aluminum frame that handles temperatures from –20 °C to 45 °C (–4 °F to 113 °F). - It supports motion-activated lighting; however, motion sensor must be purchased separately and paired with light. It would have been more convenient if the motion sensor was built directly into the fixture. - set up automations to turn the lights ON / OFF. Important Tip: Govee devices automatically connect to "distributed gateway"(DG) nodes within the Govee App (an internal network for Govee devices), which can impact your Wi-Fi performance. To avoid network slowdowns, try to limit number of connected devices in DG using App. Read more
