I got my brand new TV yesterday, and I was thinking about adding the LED strips right behind the TV. So, I decided to buy the Govee TV Backlight Strips, and these lights are super cool. The media could not be loaded. Received my new Govee TV Backlight Strip today but have not yet installed it . I did un-box it and tested it according to the manual and everything worked perfect , super excited to get it on my tv . I already had the app because I own many other Govee products so all I had to do was add it to the mix which was super easy and the app also worked perfectly . I will update my review once it’s up and running but I can already tell it’s going to be great and I’m at the age where it is going to be an awesome vibe . Govee is top notch and nobody does it better . Soon as spring hits I’m purchasing the perm outdoor lights and I will also submit my review for those . These are great. I'm using them as accent lighting in my room (I understand they are for TV's) but I'll speak to the overall quality. For the price, they are great. They are bright, have app support for Google and Amazon, and have zones that you can alter the colors for. (for if you want the top and bottom of your monitor/tv to be one color, and the sides another). The Govee app lets you set all kinds of themes/colors for the strips. Which is great for using these behind a monitor/TV They stick very well, and include guides to hold down the cables that are in between the strips. Installing these are a breeze, there are two long strips, and two shorter strips (for the top/bottom of your tv, and the sides) They are bright enough that you really won't see any gaps in light coverage. You can also adjust the brightness as well. The Govee app connects very quickly to Amazon Alexa as well. They seem to go on sale a lot too, so they are worth the purchase. I highly recommend them. The bolder brighter colors look great! I’ve noticed the light strip doesn’t do too well with pastels or light colors. I wish it had a preset of tones of white light. The default white is too purple. I appreciate the clips as it keeps the corner cables flat and prevents lifting of the strips. It was easy to install. I started with the top row first and the sides, and adhered the bottom row last. I am in love with these lights! I love setting the mood in my room and these lights go above and beyond giving me the ambiance I desire. It was quick to install, no hassle whatsoever. I love this company and their products they work so smoothly was easy to set up. The app comes with AI built-in so all you have to do is either type in a theme that you want or take a picture and send it into the app and it’ll pick the colors out for you. Read more

The box is nicely packaged with all that you need. It comes with the LED strip, instructions, AC power brick, and adhesive strip brackets. The package arrived in perfect condition and is sealed ensuring it's a new product. The LED strip has flexible spots at the corners allowing it to bend for easier installation and better hold on the TV. I wiped the TV down using Windex to get the dust off, then used the alcohol wipes to clean off the surface a bit more. Each strip has paper protecting the sticky part, so I did one strip at a time. Working from the corner closest to the power outlet. It took less than 10 minutes to install it. I did use the brackets in certain spots but don't think it was required. They do place spaces on the strips for the brackets do they don't damage the LEDs. It was a very well thought out product. I did have the app installed from another product of theirs. Finding a new product was quite easy and took a minute for it to SYNC. The interface has quite a bit of options but users can customize it. Its fun to play with the different options, color schemes. You can control brightness so it's not too loud of colors. There is a features that allows the lights to change with sound. You can choose from the device (TV) or your phone. The colors don't sync to the scenes but still pretty cool to play with. Considering the price for the product, I find no flaws in it. I can also add other Govee products to the app and I can choose which ones to control, so there is a plus in that. Read more
