It was very easy to connect to Wi-Fi and set up. I tested it by pouring a little bit of water near my sump pump and it worked like a charm, both an audio alert and a push notification alert on my iphone that water was detected. $40 is a small price to pay for a peace of mind. Read more
We installed this GoveeLife Smart Water Leak Detector system in an our basement and it has been a great investment. Setup was very easy with the app, and the sensors connected quickly to the hub. I like that the alarm is loud enough to hear immediately, and the app notifications come through right away. They worked for my home insurance as proof for a water backup alarm. The sensors are compact, easy to place, and the long battery life is a big plus. Overall, this system adds a lot of peace of mind knowing we’ll get alerted quickly if there’s ever a leak. Highly recommend for anyone who wants an affordable smart leak detection setup. Read more
Works great! My only disappointment is that the temps ensure will not send a text to my phone. I will however get a low temp warning on the app, as well as an email. That's ok, but I w I understand prefer a text. Easy to set up, and support is quick and easy. Read more
GoveeLife Smart Leak Detection is the best! Actually proved itself finding a small drip, before it got worse. Easy to set up and use. Loudness sound is important, but its not screaming loud. So far not had issue with any battery drain. Doesn't take much to set it off to prevent any water damage, which is important. Design is very nice for the product, and is on point with being super accurate. Read more
Amazing product! I can’t believe I didn’t have this sooner. Installation was incredibly easy, and the user experience is simple and intuitive. I tested it twice, and it works perfectly. It gives me real peace of mind knowing that if there’s ever a leak, I’ll be notified immediately. Now I can sleep better at night knowing my home is protected. Highly recommend! Read more
These leak sensors work very well. I ordered 2 3-packs and installed them in the following locations: furnace/water-heater room, laundry room, under the dishwasher, in the kitchen sink cabinet, and one inside each of our two downstairs showers, since our sewer lateral collapsed recently and backed up into the showers first. Unfortunately, it was days before I noticed the backup because I didn’t have leak detectors. We’ve since replaced the sewer lateral (expensive!) and and installed these detectors for peace of mind. Setup was relatively straightforward. Activating the Alexa skill wasn’t too difficult. Getting the detectors to operate as I wanted took a little thinking, but was relatively easy to figure out. I installed them almost a month ago and today one of them went off and alerted the way I expected based on my configuration. Both the sensor and hub started “screaming” - these things are loud! I received a text message alert, an email alert, and an app notification. In addition, Alexa announced the leak (using Alexa’s Announce feature) throughout the house, telling me exactly at which location the leak was detected. This happened all at once, so it is a bit jarring. But it should be to stimulate you into quick action. In the Alexa app, using the routines feature, you tell Alexa exactly what to announce (or do) for each sensor. For example, when triggered, my laundry sensor causes Alexa to announce “Warning, warning! A leak has been detected in the laundry room. Go to the laundry room at once!!!” That is 6 different notifications (2 alarm locations; text, email, and app notifications; and an Alexa announcement) Get these if you want peace of mind against leaks and water damage. BTW, today’s laundry leak resulted from a bucket of water with bleach that my wife set in the laundry to soak a shirt. The bucket had a small split, leaked, and wet the sensor, triggering it. Once I got the GoVee Gateway installed, the Sensor worked great. Very reasonable price for 3 sensors. At first I tried to install using my iPhone 16, spent several hours keep getting error message " bluetooth device not found". Mainly because I did not relize how BlueTooth low Energy work. Perharps the company should in include a detail instruction for iPhone user eg: 1) Download the GoVee Apps from Apple Store and create a login 2) Once the Gateway is activated, the pairing of the sensor to the gateway was easy. 3) Don't worry about not seeing the bluetooth connection on the iPhone setting The bluetooth low energy (like Apple Air Tag) use very little power. I love the device. I use it to monitor water leak under the kitchen sink. Read more
This product is great, period. Easy first time setup. Peace of mind. Didn't even know they existed until a plumber told me. Once they were set I was able to track the issues I was having, take proactive steps to prevent water damage and have it fixed by a professional. Now they are just there to alert me if ever any problem again. Reconnecting to an updated phone was even easier than initial setup. Highly recommend if you have any sinks, toilets or water utilities. Will save you a fortune in damages. Read more
