Finally a secure mount with a decent arm length and better adjustability

This works perfectly for our van. The original Garmin mount had the GPS sitting too deep in the window, due to the dashboard depth. This unit is easily adjustable for length, plus you can adjust the arm length by about 2” (anywhere from 4” to 6” length, measured from the arm pivot point). Also, the arm can be readily rotated, so you have a lot of adjustability with this mount. Super strong adhesion to the windshield, too! Pros: 1. The adjustability features mentioned above 2. The strong adhesion to the windshield Potential con: The silicone adhesive substance on the windshield attachment disc. It does provide a super stable attachment to the windshield (unlike my original Garmin suction mount, which periodically loosened and fell off!), BUT be aware that this also makes it a bit more difficult to move from vehicle to vehicle. I actually had to use a flat blade screwdriver to get it where I was able to pull it off, which slightly gouged the actual adhesive (see photo). It’s still able to be reattached, and maybe there’s a better method to remove the mount from the window. Read more
