Not 100% cashmere

Fit is good. This is a wool/cashmere blend, not 100% cashmere. It is a little bit itchy but not so much that I can’t wear it. I like the details on the sleeve cuff. Read more

Warm and lovely, but tough to pair with undershirt, which you need as wool is itchy

Grace Karin is a solid, dependable brand, and this sweater is no exception—it’s a very nice option overall. The quality feels good right out of the package, and the wool-cashmere blend gives it a bit of that luxury softness you expect at this price point. The color is a perfect neutral. Still, it’s not what I’d call affordable, since real wool and cashmere naturally come at a higher cost—but if you take care of it properly, it’s the kind of sweater that could last for years or even be passed down. In theory, especially with the socks to match, it would make a wonderful gift… except it has a few drawbacks. It’s definitely close-fitted, which looks sharp but can make it tricky to find something to wear underneath. I do recommend layering with a long-sleeved base, since it’s fully itchy against bare skin. The itchiness isn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s there—typical of high wool content. Be aware this material also needs very gentle laundering (hand wash only, cool water), so it’s not the most low-maintenance piece in the closet. That said, it’s beautifully made, warm, and flattering with skirts or trousers alike. A good value for someone who appreciates traditional wool sweaters, just with a little extra care and consideration needed for comfort and upkeep. Read more
