Not driving much. Caring for ill relative . Car needed jumping twice and i was nearly out of Aaa calls. Read this description and it seemed straightforward. Came in a day. I had a doctors appt for my relative THE NEXT MORNING. Car didnt start and this was still in the box. Opened it , read the quick start info and i swear not five mins later we were on our way! SO SIMPLE TO USE! Plenty of power and the features are great. Lights tell you a) how much charge it has left b) if you have it hooked up correctly. Its compact and honestly not even heavy as half of a brick. Has a bright flashlight, comes w a carrying case , cords for charging and jumper cables. You can charge any device and it also has an extra power button if needed to charge a SUPER DEAD BATTERY ( like your boat or whatever thats been sitting forever ). I've had this for almost a year now and it has performed as expected every time. I have an old Jeep as a 2nd vehicle and sometimes don't start it for as long as a week. After about 4-5 days, the battery isn't strong enough to start it. Before, I'd grab my jumper cables and my other car to jumpstart it. Now it takes only a few minutes to connect it and the ol' Jeep starts right up. I've used it to charge my cell phone when we lost power. I've also used it to test motors, lights and other 12v devices. The flashlight is OK but the compass is pretty useless. Just don't forget to press the BOOST button before you crank the starter. Works great to start a car in an emergency situation. However 2 design changes would improve the usability tremendously. The rubber flap covering the port where you plug in the cables should be color changed to the same Blue shade as the cable connector. As it is now, the rubber cap is black and so is the body of the battery making them blend in. 2nd modification I would suggest is to turn the orientation of the plug for the cables 90° so the green indicator light is facing UP not to the side. The first time you use this set up and you’re looking for the green light the instructions talk about to guarantee that you have it connected correctly. It is NOT intuitive to turn your head and look on the side of the cable connector for the green light. It should be pointing straight up, so you see it immediately once the cables are connected correctly. Read more

I wrote a Bad review earlier, while a was waiting for Roadside Assistance. I was upset at that time with the product. I had read many reviews that was positive. So I ordered this jump starter. I had it for 30 days, and never used it until today. It would not work for me, Roadside assistance, came out. The gentleman showed me. that sometimes you have to. Put the other cable on something metal. He had to do the same thing with his portable jumpstart. The car started right up. The bottom line I need a new battery. When I got back to my place and turned off the car. It would not restart. Then I did exactly what the guy showed me to try out. I want to say that the car did start. I sat for 3 hours for assistance. Most of the time was me trying to start the car myself. I have since used this portable jumpstart 3 times today. Every time the car started up. So I’m writing my review, because the first review I was upset waiting. So my review was not good. That’s why I’m coming back to say that this product turned out working for me. Now I know that, if it do not start regularly on the cables. To take one of the cables, and apply to anything metal under the hood. I had already set up, for Amazon return and refund me. Now, I will reach back out to Amazon shopping. To inform them that I change my mind. Please ignore first review. This is my updated review, and this device had the same amp and voltage as their product. So please forgive my first comment review. THIS PORTABLE JUMP START DOES WORK.
