I’ve been using Aesop hand wash for a long time and decided to switch to Grown Alchemist after trying it, and I’m really glad I did. The price is better, and the scent and overall quality feel even nicer. I especially love the light exfoliating feel — it leaves my hands clean and smooth without being harsh. I also get a lot of compliments on it, and guests often ask about the brand Read more
I love the way this smells and how quickly the exfoliation helps to clean my hands! Read more
This stuff feels like real fancy soap. Like to the point where I feel bad for using it and feel like I should be saving it for the guests. It has a fantastic natural orange scent and comes out gritty which creates the exfoliating characteristics of the soap. The bottle is simple, yet elegant and is pretty enough that I can leave it in the original container. My hands feel clean and soft after use and smell great! It has an absolute absurd price for a bottle of soap and is way above any competitors . At this price point it should be coming in a glass bottle with a metal pump that can be reused. It's great soap, but there is no way it is worth the current asking price. Read more
Don’t like the scent or the grit texture as much as Aesop Read more
This hand wash is similar in concept to the many other pumice hand washes on the market. It is a much more "upscale" option in terms of packaging and consistency. It comes in an attractive dark brown plastic pump bottle (that is shrink-wrapped by the manufacturer for secure transit), and has more of a gel-like consistency, versus the more "gloopy" consistency that the mass market brands have. It has a nice orangy scent that is not overpowering nor does it linger on my hands for very long after use. The performance is excellent -- the pumice is fine grained but still able to get out dirt that regular soap fails to do. It also doesn't dry out my skin nearly as much as other similar pumice cleaners. While the heavy-duty coarse pumice cleaners are still the way to go for cleaning up after working on the car, this is perfect for cleaning up after gardening. I get clean hands and no need to use a moisturizer afterwards. The only con is the cost, which also is quite "upscale." If the price is not a barrier, this is well worth considering as a very good performing, easy to use pumice hand cleaner that comes in a bottle that you won't mind having out next to the sink. But there are many other options that cost a fraction of this that are very viable alternatives. Read more
Grown Alchemist is a great brand dedicated to natural but effective skincare, and despite my sensitive skin, their products always treat me right. This exfoliating hand wash is excellent. The orange peel notes in the fragrance are delightful, and that’s coming from someone who’s not usually a fan of fragrances. But this particular scent is not at all overpowering or chemical-smelling. The exfoliator leaves my skin feeling smooth, clean, and somehow gently hydrated. I’m also a huge fan of the dark amber-tinted bottle – such sleek packaging that adds a touch of elegance to my bathroom, kinda like my mom’s “it’s for company” soaps that she’d only break out when there was, ahem, company. I am really liking this citrus scented pumice soap. I have used another brand hand soap alot like this one and love it. I was hoping this one would work as good because my husband is a mechanic and must have a good pumice soap for his hands. This soap actually smells better and works the same at getting the dirt and grease off of his hands. This soap is more expensive though so I won't switch to this brand but I will continue to use this because the scent is great. If I am unable to purchase my regular brand I will definitely purchase this soap. Wish the price was lower and I would switch. I hope my review has been helpful for you. Read more
