Bought for trip to Iceland. While touring waterfalls my feet were dry and warm. Traction is perfect for climbing wet rocks. Only negative is that the boots are heavy which takes up precious weight in your suitcase. My airline and tour restricted luggage to 44lbs. I ordered a couple different low rain boot brand options. I have worn short xtra tufs for years, but they finally gave out. I liked the fit and look of these boots. The main differences I see between these and xtra tufs is that I cannot slip my foot into the Grundens. I have to slip it half on and then reach down to the heel strap and pull the boot the rest of the way on. I do believe they are much warmer than xtra tufs though. Read more

I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on these boots. I originally got them because my toddler wanted to play outside on rainy days and I needed a waterproof boot I could pull on quickly. I find myself wearing them most days, regardless of the rain! They’re very comfortable (I’m a 9.5 wide and the 10 fits perfectly), very smart looking, and keep my feet dry and warm. I probably won’t need them as much in the summer or during a snow storm, but they’re otherwise a staple shoe for me now and I have a feeling they’re going to last a while! Read more

I love the look and versatility of this shoe. I work in wet and cold environments and they provide comfort, and warmth. I have an issue with the lining though. After my first time wearing them, I noticed my socks stained black. The lining of the shoe (not the foot bed) broke down immediately. I’m worried it will eventually break down so much that my little toes peak out the front! In all seriousness, they continue to stain socks, so I’ve stopped wearing them as frequently and only do so with dark socks. Dang! Maybe just a defect in my pair, but I would do research before reordering or ordering another pair of Grundens. Read more
