This is a review for a 4-in-1 sandalwood gua sha tool. There are no moving parts so the tool itself is pretty simple in that sense, but each edge of the tool provides a different kind of action on your skin. The contact points are nicely rounded and smoothe, so no discomfort from any sharp points or anything. The product packaging is nice - it is really well setup for being a gift; it even comes with a blank gift card and envelope set with a "for you" sticker to seal the envelope. Assuming you don't give it away and want to keep all that packaging, it also has a simple drawstring bag for protecting the tool from exposure. The product information makes it clear that it is unfinished wood (no lacquer or varnish to protect the wood, or to be a source of chemical exposure when you use it) - which I think is great for something you are rubbing all over your skin, but also means you have to be somewhat sensible about not letting it sit in wet conditions or sit in the sun for hours. I've got a tendency to clench my jaw and I think this may help me relax those muscles, but it's probably early in the testing for me to make much of a statement about efficacy. But I think there is adequate evidence out there about gua sha in general so there's not much I'd add to that. If you aren't sure where to start, I've found YouTube has some tutorial videos that you can follow along with. It was presented in a very nice box, and I've never seen a wooden massage come come with its own tie and even a charm, making it much easier than threading it myself, if at all. The shape has a bit more to it than regular combs, such as the wider V shape being very thick on that end, which was great for wide pressure and the regular "bristles" is actually curved instead of straight. It does have a smell to it, which I am not sure what it is, but maybe it's the wood smell. I am not sure how I feel about it but as long as it doesn't activate my allergies, which I am worried about. It was sanded well, smooth and such, although there was a bit of hot melt on one of the prong tips but other than that, I like the different shape. Read more
I’m so impressed with this Papiqiao green sandalwood gua sha tool. It arrived with a nice gift box inside of the outer box, to protect it when giving as a gift. It is well-padded with foam and a cutout in exactly the shape of the tool, so it is protected and doesn’t make a sound when the box is shaken. The extras in the box included a beautiful lanyard (already attached, so I didn’t have to do it), a very nice note card with envelope and seal for gifting, a warranty card, and a user guide with helpful pictures and instructions. This color brochure details what the name Papiqiao means, which was a nice surprise, as well as special care & use instructions. The tool itself is so satiny-smooth, with elegant curves and a substantial weight. Not a seam, splinter, or sharp edge on it - very well done. It’s sturdy enough that I don’t worry about breaking it. There is a very pleasant, very faint smell that almost reminds me of a citrusy green banana. It glides smoothly on the skin and feels so relaxing. Another week has gone by, and I’ve found myself reaching for it every day while on phone calls or watching classes & presentations. It feels so nice and helps manage stress. I keep it in my desk drawer, in its protective pouch. This tool is going to last, and I can’t wait to use it frequently and watch the patina deepen over time. It would make a lovely gift. Read more
Very nice quality Gua Sha tool. The wood and finish is beautiful. The color of the sandalwood looks great. The act of running this along your skin with the right pressure feels surprisingly good. I can’t say if the health benefits are proven or not, but I cannot deny that it feels really nice. Read more

It's almost 6" long, comes in a nice pouch, and includes a woven fabric hanger, a blank note card with envelope, and a user manual. It's meant for massage, reflexology, and improving circulation. It's made in China. I got this tool to help the circulation in my legs, and one edge of it has the perfect curve for that area. When I saw the presentation of the tool, it looked like a carefully crafted product that had a lot of thought put into it. The wood is exquisitely shaped, flawlessly smooth, and has beautiful wood grain through it. It is lightweight and feels good in my hand. The user guide explains how to use the different curves and projections on my body, and how to care for the wood. It also explains the meaning of the brand name, which I found to be a nice personal touch. It makes me believe that it's a family business that stands behind their products. It feels great to run the wood across my legs, and I'm sure it will aid my circulation.
