This review is based on the price/quality of the product. Although it seems pretty well made, nonetheless this is plastic and probably won't hold up long term under active use, would probably break if you schlep a speaker on it. However it's really light, folds up very compactly, a little bigger than a folding umbrella, and fits into my gig bag easily, way more convenient to haul than any other stands I use, which I often don't bring because of the awkwardness of most. Does the job just fine and it even holds offset guitar bodies like my Jaguar. I was a bit skeptical of this little stand at first since it doesn’t have that piece that you prop the neck on like other guitar stands. However, it surprisingly still holds strong with all of my guitars and is very stable. It also holds larger bodies like dreadnought acoustic guitars but I primarily use it for electric. The design of this stand also looks neat and futuristic and I like how portable it is. I will definitely be getting more of these in the future and highly recommend this product because of how versatile it is. Read more

This is a very nice and well designed portable guitar stand. It's light, easy to use and strong. It has nice molded in padding too. I only gave it 4 stars as I found it ha a small design flaw. Let me explain. In its open position it works well with an electric guitar supporting it securely in place. But an acoustic guitar has a tendency to fall backwards. Why? It all has to do with the position of the center of gravity of the guitar. On an electric guitar most of its weight is in the body which sits well centered in the stand. But on an acoustic guitar, with its hollow body, more weight is in the neck which is above the top stand support. So the guitar is not so well supported and the weight of the neck causes the guitar to rotate backward. To correct this, I added a 1/4" shims against the rotating arm stops to make the upper support not tilt back too far. (See picture) This seems to work well for both electric and acoustic guitars. To sum up. This is a great portable guitar stand, I love it. Just make sure you check out how securely your guitar rests in the stand. You don't want an expensive instrument to fall over. Exactly what I wanted, a light weight, foldable stand that fits my acoustic bass (not a standup bass) and electric basses and fits in my guitar case. I use it for rehearsals and jams. It wont keep your guitar from tipping if it gets a hard bump, but it is perfect for what it is. I got the plastic one instead of the wood one because I wanted small and light and inexpensive.
