Gymenist Adjustable Weight Vest

This is a great weighted vest. I bought this to help push my workouts a little further. A weighted vest can help take even the simplest workouts like walking or bodyweight squats, to the next level. I even use this for working out my biceps by doing curls with it because I currently lack barbells. So it's inredibly versitile and has held up through all of my workouts, so I give this 5 stars for the value, comfort and build quality. Read more

This weighted vest is a weighted vest. There's nothing about it that makes it inherently bad. But it is pretty small. The guy wearing it in the model photos must be tiny. I am 6'1" tall, my chest is 42", and my waist is 34". In the model photos the vest comes almost to his navel. On me it barely reaches my xyphoid process. Now, that probably doesn't matter much for anything. It's just fact. In my opinion this vest is also hard to don, possibly because it is so small. There are no instructions on putting the straps together, so I just looked at the pictures on Amazon and figured it out. The included straps juuuuust reach around my chest, and run just under my armpits. Once you get the straps adjust just so, there is a clip that makes it easier to don and doff the vest without taking the straps off completely. The weights are nice, although I can't see taking them out all too often. They are smooth and seem to be well-made. I put the vest on a scale, which read 14.1 pounds. The box says 13.5 pounds, which I'm guessing was a bad calculation from kilograms. The vest seems sturdy, and the stitching feels strong. I don't hate it, and I can wear it, but just know it runs on the really small side. Four stars. Read more

Too small for me but fits my son perfectly he’s 13. Perfect timing for his strength training program. I have him wear it when go on hikes for training. He says it comfortable and fits well. Quality seems well made so far. We’ll see how it holds up in few months of use Read more

So the person trying this 14 lb. weight vest is 6’3”,220 lbs. He has broad shoulders and a trim waist…the coveted V…the shape of Chris Evans. He also owns heavier vests and was hoping for a mid-weight vest. Unfortunately this vest fits like a slightly too small T-shirt. With the shoulders in proper place, the back of the vest sits about 6 inches above his waist; the front sits 4 inches above his waist. It’s quite unbalanced. Trim as he is, he had to use the extender (which he had to figure out himself); and he kept shifting trying in vain to make the vest comfortable. I could see the abject disappointment on his face. The vest the main model is wearing on this page is very obviously not the 14 pounder. The model’s vest is much bigger and the shoulders broader than this 14 pounder. I don’t think this vest was made for taller, bigger men/people, so beware. Read more

This Gymenist adjustable weight vest is exactly what I was looking for. It's easily adjustable to fit and I love that it's so easy to lower the weight to my needs to start off with. I run 3.5 miles every morning and had been wanting a weight vest and this one is awesome. You simply remove the weights to your desired weight and add them as you progress over time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a weighted vest for running and I attached a couple of pictures so you can see what it comes with and one picture of me test wearing it to make sure it fits good for me. I was looking forward to receiving the Gymenist Adjustable Weight Vest to incorporate into my workouts. The features, like the adjustable weights up to 13.5 lbs, durable Oxford material, and secure straps, all sounded promising for enhancing my training. I placed my order back on February 28, 2025. Unfortunately, despite the product page indicating it was "On the way, but running late," the vest never actually arrived. What's more frustrating is the complete lack of communication or resolution regarding the shipment. I understand delays can happen, but to receive no updates and ultimately not receive the product at all is unacceptable. I can't speak to the quality or functionality of the vest itself because I never had the chance to use it. This review is solely based on the failure to deliver and the poor customer service experience, which has been incredibly disappointing. I would caution others to be wary based on my experience. The metal stone blocks are easy to add or remove from the vest. Since each block weighs 1.1 lbs and is very hard, it's important to be careful not to drop the blocks on your feet or the floor. The completely detachable strap can be a little bit of trouble to assemble at first. Once the strap is adjusted securely to a comfortable size, the position of the buckle can be moved to the front, side, or back and held there by velcro. Compared to a front opening vest, this overhead style is not easy to put on when wearing a ponytail, buns, or eyeglasses. Read more

I ordered this adjustable weight vest, by GYMENIST, for my wife. She’s the one who works out and teaches fitness classes. According to her, she really likes this vest. She wears it around the house when she’s just taking it easy or doing housework. My wife works with little children and likens the weight vest to the compression vests that some of her kids enjoy wearing. It’s slightly awkward to put on and take off, due to the weight of the vest when fully weighted down, but that is in no way to be construed as a deterrent to making a purchase. Simply a statement of fact. The only recommendation I would have for the maker is that there would be more areas covered in the loop and hook material so that the strap can be placed in multiple positions on the vest. Read more
