I wear this (along with Nayoya Weighted Gloves - 1 Pound Each Glove for Sculpting MMA Cardio Aerobics Hand Speed Coordination Shoulder Strength and Kickboxing ) when walking, jogging, calisthenics, and practicing my simpler forms for Kung Fu (not terribly comfortable for crane or monkey rolls). The vest sits secure in an upright stance; in leaning stances it will move, but not a great deal. I have worn this under my uniform at class, it adds a slight bit of bulk visually, but little enough that my fellow students didn't know I had it on until I took my top off after class. As for the build; it seems solidly made; for the couple of months (not terribly long, I know) I've been using it (five - six days a week, one to two hours at a time) I've not had any stitching come loose or seams fail. Speaking of fit; if it helps: I am 5' 11" with a 42.5" chest and 33 inch waist. The vest fits comfortably snug. Considering purchasing a second one to keep in my car for hiking/class. Read more
I was using a weighted backpack (20lbs) for a few weeks, and it was hard on my back. This weighted vest distributes the weight better -- my back is not as tired after a hike. As a 18lbs of weight on your shoulder, it is very comfortable, and it fits me (male, 210lbs, 6'-2"), though I think a larger person up front than me would have a hard time getting the buckles to reach. I walk daily and was wearing a 12-pound weighted vest for the last year. I decided to up my weight by a few points, and this style was very similar to what I had and was 6 pounds heavier, which would go well with the weighted gloves I also used. This fits very comfortably, though I do notice the bottom strap needs to be extended fully to go across my chest. The weight is nicely distributed across the shoulders, so while I notice the extra weight, these are not uncomfortable even after an hour of walking. The material is strong and serviceable. Should provide a nice lifespan for this vest. Read more
As a firefighter, this comes in handy for daily off duty workouts. It gave me a little extra weight but in an extremely comfortable fit and not the traditional bulky form. My only issue is after a few months, a tiny hole has developed and the tiny sand beads are spilling out. So far, I haven’t found a customer support contact to help me remedy this issue. For now, it just sits in a corner and I miss using it. Read more
Overtime the fabric stretches, which causes the wejght materials to gravitate downwards to the bottom of the vest. Which in turn causes the outside seams become very loose over time. With all of this, the weight materials come out and you lose them. Going to contact manufacturer to see if there is a solution. Read more
To start, this is a 25 lb vest for $25, so my expectations were not exactly high. With that being said this weight vest is one of the best values I have found for fitness equipment I have ever seen. I weighed myself then put the vest on and it actually came in at about 24.6lb, so close enough for me. The buckles on the vest are adjustable so it fits well once you have it adjusted to your size. I am a man so I am not sure if women would have any issues with fit. The clips actually have a flap under them to protect your chest somewhat from just being up against the plastic. I did end up with some bruising from push-ups, but nothing that I noticed during the workout. I have used this for weighted push-ups, pull-ups, squats, etc. and running, so it stays in place during many different movements. Great Deal Read more
This is comfortable enough, however, there are two buckles, and only one of the buckles will be able to be buckled if you are woman with anything over a 34B. So while it works for me as I walk/run on the treadmill, it might slip if you were doing plyometrics type exercises. Read more
Very comfortable and seems to be well thought out for exercise use. I had the stitching come loose on mine just outside of the 30 day warranty period and the seller was awesome enough to immediately ship a replacement. A+ 100 customer service! They really stand behind their product. It seems like it would fit bigger folk really well too, as it can get pretty wide. I'm 5'11" 140lbs and at full tight it's a tad loose. If you are a little bigger than me, it will likely fit like a glove. Read more
