I've been doing weighted dips consistently for 5+ years. I bought a harbinger dip belt about 5 years ago and was using that for all that time. It had a similar design to this belt, except you couldn't remove the chain from the belt (only one side had a carabiner and the other side of the chain is permanently connected to the belt). I slowly worked my way up in weight, eventually maxing out at 200lbs weighted dips. That caused the carabiner to bend on the harbinger belt. Not only that, that carabiner was extremely sharp and cut my hands on so many occasions. Also, because I couldn't remove the chain, I couldn't put the belt in the washing machine so it smelled terrible. I bought this model but was concerned the chain would be of poor quality. Not only is that not the case, but the chain is significantly higher quality than my harbinger belt. The carabiners are MASSIVE with a perfect shape, and the chain is perfect length, making the process of putting weight on the chain seemless. I've done 200lb dips with this belt, no problem, it held the weight fine with no chain issues. My only complaint is that, if you're not super careful, the belt will pinch your skin in the upper leg area as you get up in weight (I actually started bleeding on my leg because of how severely I was pinched with 4 plates on the chain), but it can be avoided if you go slow getting situated for your lift. Best of all, the chain can be completely removed so you can wash the belt in your washing machine. I already washed it twice, in hot water, and it looks completely unchanged. Just let it air dry, no dryer. Definitely buy this belt if you are a fan of the overall chain dip belt design. You won't find a higher quality chain and carabiners at this price. Read more
Got this for a good price and like the brand, using for belt squats, since a dip belt has more uses than just dips, has held up well after many uses, very comfortable and well made, fits and feels very nice, enough padding without bulky feeling, feels as comfortable as I need it to, metal loops and comes with steel chain which has held up a decent amount of weight, Recommended. Great belt. High quality. Great price. The 2 clips are terrible. Theyβre low quality so thereβs a lot of play in them. This makes it difficult to align so they close properly. If they donβt close, the sharp edges are exposed. I replaced both of them after the first workout. Read more
