The foot sensor start is a brilliant feature—no hand throttle to worry about, which makes it simple for younger kids to get the hang of it. There’s also a rear foot brake that’s easy for her to use, and it stops smoothly. It’s rated to hold up to 121 pounds, and my granddaughter is well below that, so I expect this will last her a long time. The speed tops out around 5 MPH, which feels perfect for younger riders and adults like me who would worry about it getting out of control. I really appreciate the smart start feature so it doesn’t take off accidentally. Very solid for an entry level electric scooter. My daughter is 7, almost 8, and had very little experience with 2-wheeled scooters before this. She begs to go on walks every day now, and after a few days going around the block practicing braking (which at first meant stepping off the scooter completely), she's gliding around with ease now. Now I'm considering buying an adult scooter to keep up with her. I wish this had a higher speed mode. So beware you are capped at the 5mph with this, which is still great for around the block or to the park and back. Read more
