The media could not be loaded. Very happy with this product so far. We are on a private well with a high iron content. For the house we have a big 4 staged system. We also have a pond and don't want to waste home treatment water topping it up. This filter appears to be giving us clear water from our untreated yard spigot, and at very good pressure to do this. As others said with one (1) star reviews, but I add: Read the whole product information. They suggest a PP filter and a carbon filter before this filter on colored well water. I have a PP filter and this alone does not filter as well as a PP filter alone, so I conclude it is not worth the expense. Read more
I have horrible country water. It has lots of iron. We use Zero filters for drinking water but the hose water is just very yellow. I wanted a hot tub so I had to find a solution to the iron. This filter was the final step in a 2 part filter. I bought a pack of 4 marine water filters which came with fittings. Water was still light yellow from iron. This iron filter solved that problem! Bought to prefilter my well water for my pool because it has high Iron. As soon as I chlorinate my water it will turn brown within a day. Bought this to hopefully negate the need for recurring phosphonic acid purchases, didn’t work. Water still turns brown after chlorinating. Read more

I bought this to filter water that I recycled from my pool in hopes it would indeed soften the water as my pool water constantly reads high in terms of "total hardness". I hooked this up to the discharge hose bib on my pool filter and ran the hose back to the pool letting the water cascade back into the pool (the hose was not in the pool water, just set on the pool's edge). Anyway testing the water as it flowed from the hose (not from the pool) back into the pool I found no "softening" of the water; test still shows high total hardness. I let this run for many hours over numerous days but still no softening. I thought maybe I could recharge the filter and maybe that would help but I can't seem to find instructions on how to do it, if it's possible at all - not included with the instructions sent with the filter. Couple notes: this doesn't remove chlorine - it's not advertised to do so and I didn't buy it for that purpose, just thought I'd mention it. I only tested water with pool testing strips so I can't attest to whether it really removes iron, etc. as advertised. My experiment might be a unique use case but I still expected it to reduce the hardness of my water which it did not do, so if you're planning on trying what I tried, I would recommend trying some other type of filtering process. I used to have issues with water spots on my car after every wash due to the hard water in my area. Since using this filter, the water comes out much cleaner, and I’ve noticed a significant reduction in water spots.
