Halston is one of those brands that consistently delivers high quality items. These pants are well-made, and I love the softness of the fabric. They are quite comfortable for wearing all day. They are also machine washable, which is perfect since I loathe going to the dry cleaner! In terms of look, I think the gold side buttons make these rather unique. They stand out from all the other black pants in my closet. The length is perfect as I can wear these with flats or heels. The only issue I had was they were a little tight around the waist. These are nice, chic pants. I like the gold button details along the side on the hips, which is flattering if you'd like to look curvier there. They're also comfortable and good quality. Regarding size, they run a bit big. I normally wear a size 8, but these fit a little too loose on the legs and hips. I can probably easily fix this by shrinking it in the dryer. They fit well on the waist. It seems like a mid rise, sitting at my belly button on me. Length-wise, they're about 2.5" too long on me, so I'm going to hem them since I rarely wear heels. I don't know what combination of fabrics they used to make these pants, but these pants are sleek, almost wrinkle resistant, stretchy, and hold their shape throughout the day. The high waist gives these a sophisticated look and the fit is perfect for professional attire. The gold buttons really add a nice detail and accent the high waisted cut of these pants. I was excited to receive these and give them a whirl. The fit is great—on the loose side, and I’m pretty sure they would also look good one size down for a trimmer fit. The fabric is nice—lightweight but not flimsy, particularly well-suited for warmer weather but also fine in cool (but not truly cold) weather. The tailoring is nice—no reliance on hidden elastic here. The waistband lays flat (especially important without belt loops), and they’re flattering overall. I was also glad to see the length, which isn’t in the product description. I’m 5’3” with a short torso, and standard length pants can sometimes be too long. These will be great with about a 2-3” heel. And they’re machine-washable and -dryable—very important to this busy, cost-conscious working mom! My one complaint is the fake pockets—why go to all the trouble of creating pocket seaming and real buttonholes but then sewing the buttons down instead of making actual pockets? So disappointing. I am 5 foot three, 113 pounds and ordered these pants in a size 2. They fit me pretty well although they are a tad fitted – – maybe I could have gone with a four. They are relatively comfortable and thankfully the length works for me with a 2 inch heel. They are lightweight and seem to be a decent quality. I like the look overall, but the gold buttons on the sides do accentuate the hips, which in a way could make me look wider than I am. Halston is a good brand so I’d like to say they are a good value for the money, but at the same time, I can’t say that this is a pair of pants I will be reaching for regularly. Read more
