H Halston Womens Woven Suiting Pencil Skirt

I’m 5’9” and about 240 lbs, and this Halston skirt is a great find. It doesn’t have much stretch, so keep that in mind, but even without any shapewear, it looks good. The pockets do pull a little, which is expected since I’m not wearing anything to hold my tummy in. If I were 10–15 pounds lighter, it would look even better, but I’m still happy with the fit. The quality is excellent: it’s lined, comfortable, and feels luxurious. The straight fit gives a polished look that works for the office or a night out. Just note that it’s dry clean only. The skirt looks nice on and the fit is pretty good overall. It’s simple, clean, and easy to pair with a blouse for work. That said, the material is thinner than I expected, and it doesn’t hold its shape as well as I hoped, especially for this price point. I love this skirt. It's well-made, it fits great, and the classic styling will go with so much. It's an easy-peasy skirt to throw on for work, shopping, casual weekends wandering an art fair, or for a nice dinner out. It pairs great with pretty much everything! I tried this with a casual t-shirt and loved the look for shopping and running errands. Then I tried it with a nicer shirt, and it looks great for a nice meal out, or even an evening event. It's such a perfect, versatile wardrobe piece, and it's so well-made that with care, it will last for years. It is beautiful and so functional for any wardrobe! It fits true to size. I currently wear a size 12/14 in bottoms, and I ordered the size 14, which fits perfectly and is completely comfortable. I am petite, 5ft 2", and the skirt reaches to the bottom of my knees, which is a perfect length for me. The fabric is a lightweight weave, which is comfortable to wear, has a nice drape, and is not stretchy. At the time of this review, the price is $79. This is a fair price when considering the cut, fit, fabric, and overall quality of this skirt. I am certain that I will get years of use out of this classic and beautiful wardrobe staple. Read more

It is very, very well made. The material is a good weight and makes the skirt. It's a classic style that would work for any occasion. The quality of this skirt is simply outstanding. I love that it has pockets. From the lining to the zipper, everything is high quality. A size chart for best fit would be helpful. For reference, I typically wear a size 12 pants or skirt. The size 12 that I selected fit me perfectly. I am 5'8" tall, and this sits about an inch above my knee. I'm very pleased with this skirt. Read more

So happy to have a Halston in my closet and it ruins me for all other pencil skirts! The name stands for style and quality and class and this skirt delivers on all three. I ordered the size 12 for my 5'10 frame and as you can see it is an excellent fit. It comes down to mid knee on my frame and I wouldn't mind a bit longer but normal sized women will have the just below knee correct look. I don't mind paying a premium for quality fabric and stitching and double buttons and nice slant pockets, The inclusion of belt loops also gives me more versatility. I expect this to be in the closet much longer than most of my purchases...but do note that this requires dry cleaning if you want it to last. Very happy with this purchase! Read more

This beautifully designed, quality tailored, black pencil skirt is a classic and a wish come true for any women’s wardrobe. It certainly is for me! It’s of superior workmanship and the perfect fabric blend of rayon/polyester/spandex that gives this skirt structure that allows it to hug your curves while never, ever being clingy. The inner silk lining is soft, supple and non static. This is a skirt that will last and last. It’s exceedingly comfortable, soft and breathable. The professionally designed front zipper and button placket and the inner secure button, for a more secure fit, are yet another significant testament to its tailoring care and attention to detail. This skirt has attractive pockets at each side that are cut angularly for a figure flattering look and are deep yet unobtrusive, this is yet another trademark of exemplary tailoring. It’s meant to flow below the knee and hit just above the upper calf which is pure couture just like HALSTON. Although there’s no back vent which does restrict your movement this skirt is still worth the expense in my opinion if for no other reason than to know that you’re wearing a HALSTON. As you can see from my video I ordered a size too large: I’m 5’4” @ 140# and I normally wear size 8/10 so I opted for the 10 thinking it would run small since it’s a designer label, I was wrong and the skirt swims on me so keep this in mind when ordering.
