You really need to plan your layout and have pieces lined up for each section or else you'll have to undo stove of your work because you missed adding the next sections pieces to the previous one and have to take some off to fix it. So far, it seems to be really sturdy. It is the same style as the wire 4 legged shelves you put together - better than the standard white closet shelving though. I was concerned about the shelf not having wall support, but my 14 pound cat jumped on top of a shoe box and laid up there all afternoon and it didn't budge. Hopefully that hold lasts! Lastly, the "gold" color is that dulled faux gold color rather than the bright precious metal gold. I expected that based on the pictures though. Overall I am pleased with this product and am buying a second set for the other bedroom closet. I went section by section so I could unpack and customize the height for my needs & I had to wait on more wallpaper to arrive, so I'm my pix, it's not entirely installed so the last section seems flimsy, but it is because it's not fully set up. Now that this product is put up and over with hahahahaha I can honestly say that the quality is excellent. This does, however, need some thought into how you want to set this up before you even think about starting. This I didn't do so the fault is mine BUT maybe a little mention of that would have been helpful in the instructions. That being said, the only thing that would have given it 5 stars is the fact that the cement and drywall fasteners were mislabeled. I have no idea what to say about my knowledge of these but let's just say I had no do idea, and it took some finagling to fix this problem. The media could not be loaded. Holy moley! This is amazing! Without counting taking down the old rod and shelf, spackling and painting it took me about 5 hours to put this together. I did a little adaptive engineering by not using the last post and having an extra double rod section. It is very sturdy, and easy to build, and it almost doubled my closet capacity. I did it by myself, and I am a 63 years young woman. It comes with a little Allen wrench type screw driver which is really all you need to assemble this; however, I used my cordless drill to anchor it into the wall.
